Popularly known by his iconic roles in the Looney Tunes and the Merrie Melodies, Bugs Bunny is a grey male hare that made its official debut in "A Wild Hare" which was released on July 27th in 1940. It was in " A Wild Hare" that Bugs's Buny first used his catchphrase "what's up, Doc?" . This film did so well that it received Best Cartoon Short Subject Academy Award nomination. Bugs Bunny was first voiced by Mel Blanc and over the years many have taken over the role. Presently Bugs Bunny is voice acted by Eric Bauza.

According to Cartoon Network Wiki:

Since his official debut in 1940's "A Wild Hare", Bugs has appeared in various short films, feature films, compilations, television series, music records, comic books, video games, award shows, amusement park rides, and commercials. He has also appeared in more films, short and feature length, than any other cartoon character, and is the ninth most-portrayed film personality in the world, and has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bugs Bunny was given the honour of "Number One" when TV Guide as part of their magazine's fiftieth anniversary made a compilation of the fifty greatest cartoon characters of all time. Bugs Bunny was casted in the second Space Jam movie which is a film about the Basketall Superstar and Hall of Famer Lebron James and his son Dom, who both get trapped by a rogue AI in digital space. To make it back home Lebron James teams up with the Loooney Tunes gang for a basket ball game against the AI's champions called the "Goon Squad".
