The film trailer uncovers a youthful adaptation of Morpheus who gives a speech similar to what he did in the first instalment when he discussed reality, and how we must question everything around us. He brought up the time which was 6:27 and this random number could actually be a nod to Luke 6: 27 from the Bible. Assuming that is the case then it alludes to the section concerning how you should accept punishment silently when slapped and do unto others as we would anticipate that they should do unto us. We do see at one point Morpheus touching a mirror and it contorts like in the first film.

We see that Neo has created a fake life for himself where he sedates himself with a blue pill which of course calls back to the first film as it was in that that we saw these led someone away from escaping the Matrix. In this movie instalment, Neo is a game developer that actually worked on a trilogy of games for Warner Brothers called the Matrix, I believe this twist will spice things up and bring more depth to the movie. At one point in the trailer, we see Neo taking blue pills and if you look in the mirror you will see a much older reflection of him standing there. This makes me think his age is really going to come into question here and we will learn he is way older than he appears.

In the first film, Switch was actually going to be a man in the real world and a woman in the Matrix and this was going to show that you can really appear in the simulation exactly how you felt you looked. But actually, this old man could be the way the world and Neo see himself to be, and when he breaks through the simulation he actually gets to see his real face. I think by the look of it that the movie will be tackling mental health themes and highlighting people who question their reality and if there is indeed some or any legitimacy to it. Neo will be called by Anderson as he was called in the first film and we will see him meet Trinity who now goes by the name Tiffany. They meet up in a coffee shop called Simulatte and this place is speculated to be the scene for the kick-off of many climatic action sequences and also where they will come across a character called Bugs.

The Merovingian and Agent Smith will be returning. We also see green code running down Trinity's face and this may mean they unlocking their powers because prior to that Neo is unable to or not seen flying. For there to be the fourth instalment in this franchise after peace was achieved between humans and machines this could possibly mean there might be an uprising of usurpers or rebels amongst the humans and therefore the need to bring back Neo to save the day again. You should expect to see the Matrix Resurrections in theatres or cinemas on the 23rd of December this year.
