HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO MOTHER GHANA( ASAASE YAA)

As the world celebrates Mothers day today, I deemed it fit to write to you mother Ghana about the debilitating conditions of your children and how some of your children elected to office are abusing their fellow brothers who elected them to office.

As we celebrate mothers today, our mothers are the most vulnerable in our communities and are mostly accused of being witches. Yes we pretend to celebrate a section of your children who are rich and well to-do while those who are poor, disabled and barren are accused of possessing a spirit capable of destroying us (witchcraft). Those mothers(women) accused of this witchcraft are mostly lynched to death even before they speak of their innocence. To get justice for lynch alleged witches is as difficult as trying to root out corruption from this country.

Despite the the continual dissipation and rapping of your resource, your children have continually defy the sanctity of our rivers by poisoning it with sodium cyanide and mercury. As we celebrate mothers today, our environment has increasingly become uninhabitable due to the pollution of the environment as well as the encroachment of humans on the once vegetative lands Odomankoma adorn you with, and bequeath unto us.

Our future mothers abandon school and migrate from the upper part of the country to the southern part to carry loads on their heads for survival. Most of them are even the lucky one that are able to fled from force marriages. As we celebrate you Asaase Yaa today,kindly remember that a section of your daughters who'll soon be mothers still do not have access to menstrual hygiene kits and do not even have the proper knowledge on how the keep the body clean in such conditions. Lots of our mothers dies in labor due to the absence of health care system or good roads for referral to big hospitals when the need arise.

Our mothers are still suffocating in domestic abuses from their husbands and husband relatives. Women are the most vulnerable in our society and are almost alienated when it comes to decision making process that concerns them. They are brutalize in marriages yet, they continue to stay due to the love they have for their children and that eternal caring Odomankoma blessed them with during creation.

Despite all these atrocities meted out on your female children, you (Asaase Yaa) continually bless us foods and fresh air from the billions of tress on you. You never forsake us and still love us even though we defy you always.
I have heard stories of how you can strike else where and swallow huge things. Kindly do the same here and take away your children elected to office to protect you and their siblings yet the rape your resources and kill your children who stands in their way.
