Courtesy is a Virtue

There are lots of virtues that stand out in our world and one of them is courtesy. The act of courtesy is learned, one is not just born courteous, and based on your geographic location the act of courtesy may vary just a little bit but generally, courtesy may cut across in a lot of ways. For example, bowing down may be considered respectful in all cultures across all geographical regions however in greeting some cultures may prefer handshaking to bow or kneeling to be more courteous lying prostrate.

Courtesy is critical to our daily lives and it can do more for you than you can imagine, it can take you places and open doors for you in ways you couldn't have imagined. Courtesy also applies to every aspect of our lives and it is very critical to how we maintain our relationships with all that may be around us. When we are courteous we are able to go to others and others are able to easily accept us, it helps us build trust and it helps us to fit in wherever we go.

Courtesy also helps us to love and be loved, it makes it easier to show respect and be respected back and we tend to always be in the good light and good graces of all that may be around us. It is easier for others to forgive us when we are at fault too and we are able to forgive others too especially when they tend to be courteous to us.

Courtesy is a value each and everyone must uphold, it must be general thing for all, which is why a wise one once said that we ought to be courteous to everyone in lives, close or distant, friend or acquaintance but for intimacy we should limit that to a few people. It tells how well and often we ought to show courtesy, let it be a part of your daily life and it would do a whole lot for you.
