A Lightweight Markdown Playground For The Community: sgmarkdown.netlify.app

in Steem Ghana4 years ago

Hello Friends, How is everyone doing? I will make this article as brief as possible. Steemit is our home, and it falls on us to support it any means possible. Hence, I took it upon myself to provide a useful solution to a problem that most Steemians, especially the newbies, encounter. As a user from a developing country, I can confirm that internet bundles are not that cheap, and the Steemit website does not make matters any better as it can really drain limited mobile data. Therefore, the thought of practicing markdown on the platform is done on need basis. It is common to see Newbies practice markdowns only in the time of posting an article. It does not have to be so. Markdowns, when done right, add some spice to one's presentations. In light of this, I designed a minimalistic markdown tutorial website that has a markdown editor.

The website is mobile responsive and light weight. The markdown, additionally, supports images, tables, and many others. The respective technologies that were used are as follows: HTML5, CSS, JS, React.js, Swup.js, Marked.js, and Highlight.js. No sign-in or sign-ups are required.

The site is hosted on Netlify, which is secure. The tutorials are about thirteen, so if any one has any contribution please do well to share by commenting below so I can update the website. Also, if any one encounters any challenges in using the platform, kindly let me know.

I was and have been greatly amazed to see your efforts in helping to build the steem ghana community. I admire your effort in bringing up such tutorials to assist the newbies that we bring on board. Indeed, these are well written codes for your use.

We need to build a steem Powered lecture series or seminars for students on campus using the steem @campusconnectgh, with the support of promosteem. With well endowed steemians like you with such programming skills, we really can team up so well to make students on campus feel the impart of steem even as we serve them with such skills. Thanks for serving us with this and l hope to see many more improvements in the coming days.
