In this edition, I would like to show you around the Kassena market over here on a busy market day where most of the traders were around. On market days, people around the district such as Sandema and Tono tend to come and shop for the week.
You would also find in this post the prices of the common goods you would find in the market as well as their equivalent in steem.

Here in the market, you can find this watch standpoint where there are a number of good watches going for cool prices. They come in different qualities so the prices tend to differ. A good watch of good quality can go for 250 cedis (114 steem).

Roofing Sheet Shop
This shop is where you will find all kinds of roofing materials and sheets. The most common type of roofing sheet is the aluminium roofing sheet which costs about 800 cedis for the normal plain one (365 steem).

Meat Seller/ Butcher House
This is the butcher house here in Navrongo where you can find various forms of meat including sheep, goat and cow meat. For some reason, goat meat is always more expensive than the two. A kilo of goat meat can go for 15 cedis (6.8 steem) and that of cow meat can go for (5.5 steem).

Sunglasses Sales Point
Due to the high temperatures here of late, people are really interested in buying sunglasses to protect their sights from the sunlight. They come in various shapes and sizes and can range from 8 cedis (3.65 steem) to 30 cedis (13.69 steem).

Rice, Corn Dough & Cassava Dough Market
This is the part of the market where you can find grains and doughs. They sell them using a fixed container measurements based on the amount you would like to buy. A sizeable amount of corn dough for dinner could be bought for 4 cedis (1.82 steem)

Vegetables Standpoint
Vegetables are now flooding the market since it is that time of the year where they have made some harvest over here. During these times, they are not as costly. They tie the tomatoes for 2 cedis (0.91 steem), same as onions and okro for 1 cedi (0.46 steem).

Motor Washing Bay
This is one of the washing bays in town where you can bring your motorbike for washing. Here, they wash very well and at a faster pace at a cost of 5 cedis (2.28 steem).

Fashionable Dresses On Sale Here
On this street, you can find very good clothing. These are mostly ladies wear and are put on dummies to attract customers as seen above.

Washing & Bathroom Buckets On Sale Here
Here, you can find buckets for washing and for bathing. They come in different sizes which determines the price. Upon making enquiries, the smaller one costs 6 cedis (2.7 steem) while the big one costs 9 cedis (4.1 steem).

Various Candy & Sweets On Sale Here
These kind of candy stalls are found in lots of areas where you can find most of the common types of candy we have over here. Most of the candies and chewing gums cost 20 pesewas a piece (0.1 steem).
