I learnt about this healthy tea from my mother. She said during her days when hospitals were not really close and accessible, they will make this tea and drink and get well after few days.
I also got more information from Google

Beauties of Justicia carnea or Chaya leaf

This leaf originally originated from Mexico, but can be found in Nigeria and it's commonly found in the southern part of Nigeria.
There are hundreds of benefits of this leaf. It is a great source of protein, vitamins, calcium, and iron, ascorbic acid, and also a rich source of antioxidants. It can be added into salads, soups, tea, but shouldn't be eaten raw. The tea has a mild taste, not sweet and definitely not bitter. So I add liquid milk into it to enhance the taste
