Steem Women Club Contest #18 Healthy Homemade Drink Recipe || Oregano with Honey, Calamansi and Ginger
Good day everyone here inn Steemwomen Club. Hope you are all in good health and free from sickness.
For this week's contest of Steemwomen club, I would like to introduce to you my Homemade Healthy Drink Recipe : Oregano with Honey, Calamansi and Ginger
I am always making this drink if I or my son have a slight cough or we want to boost our immune system. Especially that we have now the COVID Virus pandemic, so we want to ensure that we are always healthy and free from the virus. We want our immune system to be strong enough to fight for it.
My ingredients has a lot of health benefits and these are:
OREGANO
- Rich with antioxidants
- Anti bacterial
- Helps in respiratory problems ( there are medicines for cough made from oregano)
HONEY
- Loaded also with antioxidants
- helps remedy for cough and colds
- natural sweetener
- aids in digestion
CALAMANSI
- rich in vitamin C
- Strengthen the immune system
- improves respiratory health
GINGER
- Anti- inflammatory
- Boost the immune system
- prevents nausea and other stomach problems
- helps in digestion
There are other health benefits of these ingredients.
So for my drinks here are the ingredients.
- oregano leaves
- 2 pcs Calamansi
- a thumb of ginger
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 glass warm water
I picked directly the oregano from our own plant area.
Steps in Preparation is so simple
First, take out the leaves of the oregano from its stem. Wash them thoroughly. Second, slice the ginger and the Calamansi.
In a glass, put in the oregano, ginger and squeeze the Calamansi to take out its juice and add a tablespoon of Honey. Lastly, pour the warm water and stir.
And finally our healthy drink is ready.
