Steemwomenclub: What About Women and Education?

in SteemWomen Club4 years ago

Greetings #steemwomenclub women, I hope you are all healthy and happy. Ready for a new week of successes.

The topic that I want to share with you this day is related to education in general and education for women.

Attending school, learning to read, write, and developing an interest in certain areas from the moment you begin to absorb knowledge is essential for several reasons. And that involves not only the person in question, but the entire society.

A person with access to education develops a critical sense, acquires ways to exercise their rights and can offer their knowledge and the benefits of her skills to the whole world. We would be nobody without our doctors, lawyers, engineers but, above all, we would be nobody without our teachers.

But what about women? How is education different? The female sex has a history of much discrimination and struggle. Subdued by the male supremacy that permeates all of society, women needed a lot of strength to achieve equal rights and, even after a long time and with all the growth of the feminist movement, which points to this social equivalence between the sexes, the battle is still daily and continuous.

A good education for our women, however, can be the differential of this situation.

Investment in education remains low, especially in the poorest countries, and women and children in particular are left behind. In many cases, men have better opportunities simply because they were born men.

A woman who has had the opportunity to go through school, in addition to having learned to read books, write what she thinks and understand what surrounds her, will have the ability to decide what is best for her in each moment of life . In addition to becoming aware of what is good or bad for your family, for example. She can pass on knowledge to her children and, more than that, she can actively participate in the world in which she lives.

So do not stop fighting to acquire knowledge, it is never too late to start and be that woman that the world is waiting for, a hard-working, self-critical, empathetic, brave woman with many advantages.
