Introduction

Greetings great family of Steemit! I want to sincerely appreciate this wonderful family for all the good work they are doing and for setting up this wonderful engagement for all the wonderful people of Steemit Community.

Life is always interesting and enjoyable when you are surrounded by wonderful people who are selfless and who always put your interest at their heart. It takes the Grace and help of God to come across these kind of people am talking about, but the truth remains that as long as you are existing in this planet you must have one or more important persons around you, people whose contribution in your life contributed to making you the person you are.

Important person in my life and why He is important

I have so many important persons in my life and if I'm ask to write a list of the important persons in my life time would fail me to exhaust the list, but for the sake of this contest I want to write about my friendship with Kanife Chukwuemeka.

Kanife Chukwuemeka's family and my own family has been friends for a long time, owing to the fact that we came from the same State in Nigeria, but our friendship did not begin from our basic school days. We came to know each other during our days in the college, but during that time we were only casual friends and not intimate friends as such. But at the end of our College days our friendship took a new dimension, we became more intimate and started doing things in common. The major factor that brought us together was our service to God, we became born again almost at the same time, but he was the first to meet with Jesus before myself. But when I became born again I needed someone to guide me, I needed someone that will help me understand my new found faith, I needed someone that would be my partner in loving Jesus and I found all these things in Him.

Few months after meeting with Jesus my friend got admission into the Higher institution that was around 2012. The place we grew up together was in Lagos State Nigeria and he was admitted into a higher institution that was located in Enugu State Nigeria. The higher institution separated us for three years even though we communicated via handset, but we only had physical contact during his break period.

When he was in his final year I was equally granted admission into the same institution, but the period I gained admission was a period when my parents had serious challenge financially, I managed to pay my school fees, but there was no money for accommodation. I had to carry all my belongings to his lodge, he was the one that accommodated me and equally ensured that I did not starve in my first year in the institution.

After my first year he graduated from the institution, but the fact that he graduated never made him relent from the help he was rendering to me, anytime I find myself in any need I would reach out to him and he would always look for a way of meeting my need.

There was a period in my life when I had no clothes, my clothes were old and needed to be changed and I had no money to get new ones, he gave me some of his best clothes to add to my wardrobe.

Time would fail me to narrate all the benefits I enjoyed being around him. One of the funniest of the benefits was when I entered into a relationship with my wife to be, that period I had nothing at all, and we knew that for a relationship to work communication must be effective, he would always recharge my phone for me and would ensure am in active communication with my Babe.

Finally, the first time I ever traveled by air was sponsored by him, he was the one that payed for the tickets. Our friendship is something I would not trade for anything, he is one person that has really impacted my life in ways I can't describe.

Conclusion

I'm ever grateful to God for making our path cross in this life. People will value you not just because you are around them, but because of the positive contributions you life was able to bring into their life. One thing I would try to do is to always do my best not to leave people the way they met me but to add something positive to their lives.
