Ways of talking to people during travel

in Traveling Steemlast month
My dear Steemian friends,

For the first time, I am writing a travel post that has nothing to do with my travels but my traveling experience. I am not a very talkative person, at least not the one that breaks the ice during travel.

I never discourage a fellow traveler in case he wants to engage me in a discussion. However, I always give my fellow passengers a smile so that they don't consider me rude or self-centered.

Most of my friends know that I am a traveler being a marketing professional or travel for fun quite extensively within and outside the country. I have met all kinds of people while traveling.

Some of them were very nice to talk with and some of them were not interested in any conversation, while some of them were too arrogant, and a few of them were as rude as they come.

As I said, I am not a talkative person, but I loved reading mystery and detective novels during my long journeys. However, I found certain fellow passengers that were more interesting than reading books.

They had so many things to tell, so the time passed very easily. But the ones that set quietly throughout the journey were the most complicated of them all. Some of my fellow travelers whom I found interesting and even mysterious at times.

I never discuss religious topics with my co-passengers. I believe that religion is one's own belief and also one's duty and action. Religion is unity and goodwill and to renounce discrimination. Religion is humanity, and I believe that violence or hatred is not religion and is definitely not a topic of discussion with unknown co-passengers.

Apart from this, I do not discuss political events during travel. Elections have just been completed in our country. Now if I talk to my co-passengers about politics, then different things will come up due to different biased views.

So, in a way, the supporters of the ruling government and the people who benefited from their schemes will have different views, and the dissatisfied and angry passengers will have different views. I always try to stay away from this discussion with my co-passengers.

I can still remember some of my fellow travelers who looked so serious in the beginning, but once they started speaking, the mystery was solved. Some of them were so interesting and friendly that I remembered them for a long time.

During my travels, I have met so many different people having such wide and different styles that I can write a book about “Ways of talking to people during travel”.

Some of them were straightforward and explained in a simple way, while others were so complicated or even uncertain about what they wanted to say despite talking too much or speaking for a longer duration without coming to the topic.

When we go on a trip with a stranger, we get a chance to talk to people of different ages, values, religions, and cultures. When we meet each other for the first time, there is a high possibility that I talk with them during the entire trip.

In my trips, I have gotten chances to talk to people of different natures and ways of thinking. In some cases, they didn't like some of my habits, and in some cases, I didn't like their habits. But, by the end of the trip, I got so attached to many of them as if we were old friends, and such trips became memorable for me for my lifetime.

I am still in contact with some of my fellow travelers whom I met years ago, and they are on the list of my good friends.

I invite @alegnita and @ripon0630 as I wish to tell them why my trip to Bangladesh is still not confirmed. It's all about political disturbance but I hope everything will be back to normal soon.

Hello, friend. There is an unstable situation in our country at present. As the ongoing student movement is now more likely to turn into a political movement, the government has now imposed curfew for a fixed period of time every day. We are hoping that this unstable situation will be fixed very soon and once the safety of the people is ensured, all the tourist spots will run smoothly as before and the trip to Bangladesh will definitely be successful.

Yes, I am keeping a keen eye on the situation so I haven't applied for a visa as yet but I am pretty sure the situation will come back to normal since the court has reduced the quota for freedom fighter's grandchildren. I have at least 3 months before my schedule trip to Bangladesh. Thanks for your input.

Even in Italy there have been demonstrations to raise awareness by people from Bangladesh who live here, it's sad to know that students have been killed, let's hope that things will settle down as soon as possible and peace will return

It's been happening everywhere where people are getting killed. I feel that the smallest things provoke the people in the name of freedom and they come on the roads unlawfully and pay the penalty.

Saludos y buena semana amigo.

Thanks, bro, I know about your love for travel and visiting places often so I am sure you will be following these golden rules and staying safe from unnecessary disputes. Politics, religion, and criticism of anything without a piece of proper knowledge are always harmful. Thanks for your review and a nice input.

Hi friend. I guess the political status in Bangladesh is as unstable as my country right now, but hopefully facts won't last forever and this will be solved ASAP in the most peaceful way 🕊️ 🙏🏻 it's a very great experience to learn about other people's culture during trips and conversations help to break the invisible barrier to know each other. ✨ With the grace of God you can finally make this pending trip so who knows, maybe I might see Ripon and you together in a picture 🖼️ take care please. Regards.
