Hello fellow travelers!

How are you all? I hope you had a wonderful summer vacation. After spending about a week in Vienna in July, I treated myself to a few days of relaxation in nature, in one of the most scenic regions of Italy: Trentino Alto Adige.

Today, I'd like to share with you some photos I took of a truly beautiful natural spot—the Saent Waterfalls, a gem of the Val di Rabbi, which is a side valley of the more famous Val di Sole in the autonomous province of Trento.

As you can see, the color of the water in these waterfalls, as well as in the streams that feed them, is a stunning emerald blue. This is because the water comes from the glaciers within the Stelvio National Park, one of the oldest and most important parks in Italy.
In fact, Italy has several national parks, but unfortunately, unlike in the United States, they aren’t as well protected or managed by dedicated staff. Here, things are quite different, and you can enter these places for free.

Anyway, back to the waterfalls—my hike started from the Coler parking lot, which is just a few kilometers from the village of Piazzola. I took a beautiful circular walking route that allows you to admire both waterfalls, passing through forests where you can stay cool and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

The trail was about 8 kilometers long, very easy to walk, and at a very leisurely pace, it took me about 2 hours. I really enjoyed the hike, and it was absolutely worth it.

I hope the photos have conveyed some of the emotions I felt. See you soon, friends!
