Hello dear friends, I am participating in this contest because I want to share with you my upcoming trip, which will be in less than a week. It's a place I've wanted to visit for some time but never quite found the opportunity, especially with the Covid situation in between. Finally, after these months, I managed to organize a week in Vienna. I consider it one of the most elegant and architecturally beautiful capitals in Europe. Where is your travel destination in 2024? Tell us about it and why you put it at the top of your travel destinations. I will probably make other trips this year, but I'm dedicating part of the summer to Vienna because I want to explore the various museums the city has to offer. As you know, I am passionate about art, museums, palaces, and historic residences, so I absolutely cannot miss this capital. Although, I also want to discover it, perhaps highlighting those less famous tourist spots because I believe Vienna has some hidden gems. Additionally, I'm fortunate that my visit coincides with the first Sunday of the month when municipal museums are free to visit, which includes some lesser-known ones. What kind of travel experiences are you planning there? I have fairly detailed plans for each day; I'm a bit meticulous that way. When I travel, I try to plan everything, or at least almost everything, though we know trips rarely go exactly as planned due to weather or other factors. Still, I anticipate lots of museum visits, exploring various Habsburg residences like Belvedere and Schönbrunn. I'll also seek out a restaurant to taste some local cuisine. And since I have a sweet tooth, I'll definitely indulge in some typical Viennese desserts. Are you planning the trip solo or will you have a travel companion? I will be traveling with my wife. She has been to Vienna in winter but missed seeing several things due to snow. We travel well together because we both share a curiosity and a deep passion for art. If you could take any Steemian as a travel companion, who would it be? Honestly, I'm not sure. Certainly someone who enjoys visiting museums and cultural sites, and also appreciates the sweets and typical dishes of Vienna, which can be quite hearty and meat-based. Vienna isn't ideal for those who prefer nature-focused trips, although there are beautiful parks. Share the estimated steem value of what your trip would cost to complete. As usual, it's a bit challenging to estimate the final budget, but here's an approximate breakdown including accommodation, flights, transfers, and some activities in Vienna. @kikenexum I took the flights about three months ago and let's say that starting from Venice I only have an hour's flight anyway. That's why it's probably cheap.
More than anything I found the accommodation cheap, with airbnb, even if a little far from the center but I like walking
You have selected a nice travel destination for your forthcoming travel plan. Vienna is a picturesque country as well having so many historic places. The entire Eastern Europe is beautiful but due to its communist background, it did not attract as much tourism as it could have.
