THE DIARY GAME || A Memorable 1st Day at the Saint Alphonse Granby Campsite [26th July, 2024]

The day of July 26, 2024 began in an effervescent manner with the preparations for our getaway to the Saint Alphonse Granby campsite. From the first light of day, we began to gather all the necessary equipment for our outdoor stay. In our well-organized garage, each member of the family had a specific task, which made the preparation smooth and efficient. Coolers, sleeping bags, tents and various other camping equipment were carefully checked and packed. The meticulous checking of each item ensured that we would not forget anything essential, every detail counted to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

We were ready to go once all the bags and equipment were loaded into the van. Although loaded to the brim, the vehicle demonstrated the extent of our preparation. Our bikes were also attached to the back, adding a touch of adventure to our trip. The drive to Saint Alphonse Granby was filled with lively discussions and laughter, as each kilometer brought us closer to our destination.

Upon arrival, the campsite greeted us with friendly signs, guiding us to the reception area to complete our check-in. The sight of the lush nature and the serenity of the place instantly soothed our minds, reinforcing our excitement for the days ahead.

As soon as we reached our site, we began to set up our tent. The collaboration of the entire family made the installation quick and smooth. Once camp was set up, we took the time to organize our outdoor living space. I gathered and organized a pile of firewood, in preparation for evenings around the campfire. The simple act of arranging the wood in an orderly manner gave me great satisfaction, each log a promise of warmth and conviviality for the night to come.

Meanwhile, the children, brimming with energy, quickly mounted their bikes to explore the surroundings. The campsite offered a natural playground perfect for their thirst for discovery. They pedaled enthusiastically, marveling at every corner of the forest.

The evening brought with it the magic of the campfire. As dusk turned to night, we gathered around the dancing flames. The children eagerly pulled out marshmallows to roast.
