PEOPLE
People who wash in the river,
Who go to the fairs and the stalls,
Who carve with your axe
The planks of my coffin,
There may be those who defend you,
Who cloud your wholesome air,
Who buy your sacred land,
But your life, never!
My white carnation at your ear!
My red camellia!
My green basil!
Oh, wayward nature!
I see a photograph...
But your life, never!
I sat at the round table,
Drinking from a bowl that hides
The kiss, passed from hand to hand...
Pure water, bitter fruit,
Save for the wine you gave me,
But your life, never!
Processions by beach and hill,
Sands, peaks, steps
Behind which mine follow!
What became of the fountain jars?
I keep the memory of those arms...
But your life, never!
"PEDRO HOMEM DE MELLO"
I am sharing photos of landscapes, moments and experiences. Nature and sea are the most visited themes in my photo collection, but any attention-grabbing aspect can be photographed. Hope you enjoy it...
