CHANT
In the shamelessness of a statue or a defeated one,
thighs open, defenseless… naked
before my vigil, the night, and the moon,
she now rests, asleep.

From her violet-blue nipples, wounded,
my gaze descends to where passion surges.
I weep... but why? My unreal dream drifts
over the depths and borders of life.

My tears fall upon her breasts...
as the moonlight halos her, inert, spent
from the fierce tenderness of my embrace.

My veins sing poems never written...
and I place my mouth, devout and chaste,
on the crushed flower of her sex.
