SEC-S16W2 | Solo vs Group in Travel | My preference is Solo Traveling
Honestly both solo and group travel has some advantages and disadvantages. After thinking a lot I decide to focus on solo traveling even it has some disadvantages. For introverts like me solo traveling is best but I don't mind having a small group with me if all group members are understanding and act mature.
Recently I had group travel and it was enjoyable but there was some problems that I face too. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against group traveling but I think I prefer solo traveling more than the group. I have experience of solo traveling and I was more comfortable with that and I had full freedom of moving one place to another so solo traveling I guess better for introverts like me.
Your choice for travel alone or group: state your reasons by listing advantages and disadvantages.
Traveling alone gives me freedom and I can choose my own time as I want. I can select my own food according to my own preference. In group travel I had trouble of food and they served food that I don't like to eat. When I'm traveling alone I'm the king of my own kingdom so I can choose everything according to my choice.
If I travel alone I can take enough time for each activities but group traveling doesn't allow more time and they have time limit for each site seeing. Sometimes we miss something special just because our group in hurry and they need to come back to their destination. Traveling alone doesn't need to match schedule with others so we can plan it of our own.
The difference you experience on general costs by traveling in these modalities.
Its true that group travel saving a lots of time and money but we can't travel as we want and plan individually. Group travel is best when you have low budget for your traveling destination. Group tours are mostly fun as many people try to make the tour interesting by their activities but sometimes it can be opposite which means messy people can make mess in group travel and doesn't show kindness as I experienced recently.
Group travel cost is low as the cost of vehicle rent, resort or room booking rent and many more expenses but I believe solo traveling is peaceful even it may cost more money. People who loves crowd and prefer group traveling can save money on each tour and can plan more tours and this is the advantage of group tour.
For the case for going in group: which people would you like to take with you in the trip? Alone: which activities will you do?
I don't mind on group traveling if people with same psychology and kindness travel with me. If I go alone then I must research about the traveling spot online and track the location very well. I will take my favorite gadgets with me and spend as much time I wish for shopping, photography and enjoying eating my favorite foods. I will walk long way and take time to discover the beauty of each spot. I would love to observe more and note down whatever I'll like during traveling alone.
As recommendations: What are the best spots for you to travel in group/alone?
Traveling on hill stations we can travel both in group and alone because there will be many travel guide for doing our service and explain everything about the spot and lifestyle of people there. Still we can search on internet for more information, before traveling we should be informed about any kind of traveling destination that can be too cold, too hot , bearable or unbearable weather based locations.
For me best spots for traveling are sea beaches, naturally beautiful and amazing spots, a place where there we can enjoy sunrise and sunset everyday and historical places with sculptures, arts and architecture. Enjoying traveling is more important when we already selecting our preferable traveling destination.
