Hunt For The Letter U - An Alphabet Hunt Challenge

Hello my fellow Alphabet Hunters. This week we search for the "U" and although this letter does not have as much abundance of words as the previous 3 letters, still this hunt will be good for everyone. Now to my trophies for the week.

The first "U" is for Upside Down

This was taken during a trip to a children's museum with my grandson and daughter where one of the attractions are rooms like these where the furnitures and fixtures are bolted on the walls and ceiling to create an illusion of being upside down when photos are flipped over.

The actual unflipped picture is as shown in the photo above.

The second "U" is for University

This is a Jesuit run University and the most expensive educational institution in the whole of Mindanao where our city is located. Photo below shows a panoramic view of the school.

This also happens to be my alma mater in High School way back in the early 70's before it became officially categorized as a University.

The third "U" is for Unfortunate

The above photos show the unfortunate fate of the very first condominium in our city after it was rocked by a series of earthquakes last year. Apparently some structural defects were found to have been the source of the building integrity. The second building, although appearing to have not been damaged, was also found to be structurally unsound and was condemned as well.

Photo above shows a recent shot of the condominium which is being demolished after a hefty settlement was concluded between the unit owners and the developer. It would appease everyone to know that no one was injured during the building's collapse as the residents had already vacated the premises when the big quake that took it down came.

The fourth "U" is for Utility / Usefulness

This is my old reliable Swiss Army Knife which has on numerous occasions served me well during times of need.

The fifth "U" is for Unused

I bought this pair of running shoes about 4 months ago but have not used them yet. The quarantine rules in our city requires joggers to wear face masks when they exercise which is something I find hard to do as it gives me breathing difficulties. So I just work out around the garden where I don't have to wear any masks and new running shoes.

The sixth "U" is for Umbras / Umbrae

Now just why are these pictures here? Aren't these for the Shadow Hunt Challenge? Glad to have the chance to plug it in this post lol.
