in Feel Good4 years ago

Hello lovers of letters! This week we are thankful once again for the abundance of words in our hunt for this letter "T". We have to take advantage of the circumstances now because in the coming weeks, we could be facing a real challenge with some difficult letters. But that is something to think about for another time. For now, let me show you my captures for this letter and hopefully you will enjoy them. For those who haven't yet joined this very enjoyable and exciting challenge initiated by no other than the very charming ethereal artist, @barbara-orenya, you can click on the link here to know more about it.

So let us begin. To make it a bit interesting, I decided to limit my search to "T" words that I can find inside our home at the time of the hunt. Here's what I came up with.

The first "T" is for Taho.

Taho is a Philippine food snack made out of soybean pudding (fresh soft/silken tofu) which is mixed with sweetened syrup called arnibal and sago pearls (similar to tapioca pearls). This snack is popularly known as "Taho" in the country. The Indonesian and Thai equivalent of this snack is Tauhue, and the Malaysian equivalent of this snack is called Taufufah (Wikipedia).

Top it with milk and it's ready to go.

There are also numerous benefits from eating this snack. Tofu is made from soybean curds. It is gluten free and very low in calorie count. It contains no cholesterol and is an excellent source of iron and calcium. So this is definitely a "Feel Good and Healthy Snack". Some of the benefits of tofu is its potential to decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease. Soy isoflavines have been found to help reduce levels of LDL “bad” cholesterol. Some other diseases it can help inhibit are breast and prostate cancer, Type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, menopausal symptoms, liver damage and age-related brain disease.

The second "T" is for Thermometer

This is the type of thermometer that everyone is used to nowadays. But how many among you are familiar with this type?

The third "T" is for Tape Measure

This doubles with another "T" - Toad. A smiling one. Never a dull moment measuring anything. This is my wife's.

The fourth "T" is for Tea

My wife and daughters are tea lovers. They buy so many different kinds of tea, aside from making their own like this Moringa tea. See photos below:

From picking fresh Moringa leaves to air drying them then to roasting the dry leaves then grinding them. Voila, green Moringa tea. Interestingly, you can use this for more than just a health tea drink. You can sprinkle this on anything you eat and turn them into health foods as well packed with vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants.

The fifth "T" is for Tea Bags

Don't throw away your used teabags. They are useful around the garden. Bury them and the tea leaves will add nutrients to your soil. It will help increase the decomposition of other items, help create fertilizer and keep weeds at bay.

The sixth "T" word is for Treadmill

Exercise is a necessary activity to remain healthy. This is one equipment that is extensively used in our home by everyone including my grandson who enjoys running up and down the conveyor lol.

And that's it for this week's hunt. Thanks for visiting and may you all have a blessed weekend!
