Wow, i just tested this out and works smoothly without a glitch.
Nice to receive trx although it's on the testnet for now.

Any possibility to link my previous existing Tron wallet rather than creating a new one to link ?

    right now, what you can do is that transfer your previous existing TRX into new address which is list on steemit wallet. I will forward this request to the team.
