My Actifit Report Card: March 11 2020

It was a nice day for disc golf and e-bike riding today but just a little bit cold at times. My friend and I played one of the more challenging courses around here. I usually don't score myself when I play this course and are happy if I don't loose any discs while playing.

The scores were really high on this course for both of us today. Sometimes it does feel like that happens. I have a little tenderness on the back of my throwing arm and that has been causing a bit of an issue. I should probably take some time off but it seems to be feeling better so I've been just trying not to throw so hard for a while.

Here's a view of my e-bike near basket eighteen. This course has a lot of big open distance throws. It is pretty fun but they have put in some mandatory trees and poles that make it more challenging.

I missed a mandatory tree on one throw and took a penalty. I also forgot we had a mulligan since I usually don't play with one. Oh well.

We had a debate over how to score it since I needed to throw again from the tee. On the second throw from the tee the disc landed in bounds and I counted the next throw from there as my third throw. (A penalty for missing the mando and a drive.) My friend thought it should be counted as the forth throw. (Two drives off the tee and a penalty for the mando.)

I'm not sure what is right but maybe someone knows. As far as I know you can always re-throw from the previous lie taking a one stroke penalty.

This used to be a really tough throw from the tee with lots of trees blocking the view to the basket. Either people have been clearing trees or the storms have knocked a few down because today it was a pretty open throw.

My friends disc landed right by the basket and mine was pretty close too but I ended up with a drop-in par.

On the last shot/hole I found a disc in the grass. It is a glow in the dark Discmania C-Line FD. There's no name on it. I threw it one time and it seems like a straight flying fairway driver. It is a really nice find because I don't have much in the bag right now that does this.
