The Colorful Journey of 2024

They year 2024 has been a colorful and memorable one. It was a bunch of different experiences, emotions and lessons. There are many events this year that have changed me and grown me. Now as I look back those moments that were all special in themselves. I want to share some stories of this year.

Since the first day of January 2024 I decided the year for my dreams. I started learning English for me personally rather than to learn English for job. Everyday, I learned new words and made sentences, fixed my mistakes. It was a little hard at first, but I tried, and now that I can see how I’m getting better. This taught me that small can equal big.


^{Me and My Husband}

October 2023 was a complete change in my life, I got married. To me, marriage was not some new relationship but a brand new chapter of life. My best friend and most supportive person is my husband. He has taught me what love and life is all about. The book Banalata Sen which is very special to me, he gave me. Its pages often hold our love story.

	With My Mother in Law

I have to say something about my mother in law. She is like my own mother. We are more like the best of close friends. My mother in law is most caring and loving woman I know. She is often that person, reminds me of my own mother, in terms of love and kindness.

^{My-Clay Crafts}

It’s been a long time since I started entering things into the world of art again in 2024. I loved drawing with pencils but life got in the way of that. This year I decided I would pick that hobby back. At first my figures were black and white sketches, later I began to add the colors. Now, I tart something new, little bit of painting which makes me very happy. Plus I tried paper crafts and clay crafts for the first time. My drawings and crafts seem a way of expressing my thoughts. My 3 year old niece once saw my drawing, she got so excited that she started drawing, too. This is unforgettable fun moments with her.


^{Family Time}

This year I tried to spend more time with my family and friends. Those were very special moments talking together, enjoying winter mornings with breakfast or eating my mother’s homemade meals on weekends.


^{Narayanganj Fish Market}

I also had some new experiences. Once I visited the fish market in Narayanganj. There I saw huge crabs and they were a little scary at first. I never ate crabs and didn’t want to either. However, the visit to fish market was highly exciting.

Getting Lost In the Nature

I found out in this year that true happiness isn’t in big things its in small things. What makes life beautiful are things like eating ice cream on a hot day, my mother’s cooking, tea and chatting into the night and spending time in nature

2024 wasn't all easy. Sometimes, work, responsibilities, and personal situations all were tiring me out. I feel like I could have taken a long break many times. However, I learned that these hard times are important to learn how to manage time well. I slowly learned to better plan and use my time.

In 2024 I learned that relationships and time are the two most valuable things in life. I loved this year, being close to loved ones, little moments and keeping my creativity alive.
