The Diary game - My 3 weeks NYSC camping program ( from 13 of July - 01 of August)

Hello friends,

When I was still younger, I admired all the Nigeria youths who wore the NYSC kaki uniform. This set youths youth inspired me to study hard so I can also qualify to wear this uniform. Before i continue I want to use this medium to enlighten steemians who are not aware of this program.

NYSC which stands for National Youth Service corps, is a national program sponsored by the federal government of Nigeria. This program is aimed at norturing the youth with skills and life survival skills to cope and become better youths to the nation. Also this program is aimed at uniting the youths of all ethnicity to stabilize the national security and peace of the nation, another major reason of this program is to empower all educated youths with job experience, job opportunities and manageable source of capital to become entrepreneurs

For any youth to be eligible for this program the must have graduated from any accredited higher institution in or outside the country, that's is to say you should have either a Bachelor's degree (BSC), HND or any verified higher institution certificate.

This program starts with a 3 weeks camping program, where youths would be posted to different camp branches in the country, it's expected that every state has a branch of it's own. On the second week of July i repotted to camp, kubwa camp, Abuja.

On my arrival I was told to go for registration and after registration I was given my full kits, this kit was the only clothes we were permitted to wear on camp. On a normal day we were told to dress only on white polo, white shorts, white shoes and white stocks as seen below. But on special occasions we wore the green kakai seen above

There were so many activities through out the 21 days program and we weren't permitted to leave camp venue which were all surrounded by men of the Nigeria military, we were trained by and like military personnels.

As early as three o'clock 3:00 am we were woken by military trumpet and musical instruments for morning parades, we were kept busy till 10:00 pm in the night 🌃.
