A friend of my wife, whose husband was a very high ranking officer in a government department, suddenly started noticing breast lumps, armpit lumps, breast pain, bleeding from the nipples and changes in the shape or texture of the nipples, breast or the skin over the breast.

Someone told her that these are all symptoms of breast cancer, so it would be advisable to get them checked and treated immediately. Her husband got her checked in the best cancer hospital in our country's capital Delhi and the tests revealed that my wife's friend had second stage breast cancer.

And since its treatment depends on the stage of cancer. The doctors told them that this stage may include chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy and surgery. Then her husband without any delay started her chemotherapy which is a cancer treatment in which drugs are used to kill cancer cells or stop their growth.

This therapy is done to cure cancer, reduce the chances of cancer coming back, slow or stop the growth of cancer and reduce the tumours that cause pain or other problems.

The cost of chemotherapy in our country India depends on the type of chemotherapy drugs, number of cycles, on an average, it cost from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 or more per cycle. (4000 steem to 8000 steem) and she had to undergo about 6-7 cycles of chemotherapy.

The drugs in chemotherapy were given through veins. She told us that when the needle or catheter was inserted into the vein, she felt a lot of discomfort or pain. Chemotherapy drugs were being given directly into her bloodstream, and by continuing this therapy, she was more scared of the therapy than the disease itself. But she still faced it very bravely and got the treatment done. And then the doctors also removed one side of her breast through surgery.

Actually fatigue is one of the most common side effects of this therapy, that is why my wife's friend used to feel tired after the treatment or get tired very easily while doing her daily chores. After this, all the hair on her head fell off, she became very weak, pale and bald.

And the anti-cancer drugs were affecting the cells of her vital organs like heart, kidney, bladder, lungs and nervous system. But she kept her courage and by adopting various yoga and other natural treatments, by constantly controlling her diet, she almost won over this disease. The biggest thing was that she kept her courage and faced an incurable disease like cancer.

Now she has become quite healthy, but she still has to take medicines regularly. Whenever I meet her, I feel very proud to see her stamina, patience and courage.

I pray to God that he doesn't give this disease to anyone and if he does, he should give courage and strength to get this disease treated.

Since my wife's friend's husband was a high ranking official and a financially capable person, he did not have to face any financial problems, but poor people who suffer from such diseases, their financial condition becomes very weak. Or they are not able to get such expensive treatment and become victims of untimely death.
