As someone young footballers in Nigeria look up to as a role model and source of inspiration, Andre Gray is the motivation behind DFA. When we noticed the AGFA (Andre Gray Football Academy) we decided to start our own academy in his honor and started posting drills immediately. Andre Gray is following us on Instagram monitoring our activities.

Since the inception of DFA we've done our best to uphold the highest standards possible, while ensuring this is fun for the children.

Our ultimate objective from the start was to provide football gear and a proper learning environment for the game. Because of the fact that this is expensive, and most of the children here who want to play cannot afford it, we opted for this to be a non-profit charity, as to provide them everything they need with little to no worry about costs. We believe children should not have to worry about things such as finances at such a young age.

It's also important to note what this means for not just Steem, but crypto currency in general terms. In what is considered early adoption phase currently, many people focus on the bad things that are done with crypto currency, negating the simple fact that crypto currency is a financial medium, and like with many things in this world, has the potential for misuse. It's up to us to dispel that image and show the world the good things that can be done with crypto.

When we take a look at the start of DFA, and where we are today, we can proudly say that this initiative is a success. We've achieved everything we have set our minds to thus far, and we do not intend to slow down.

Let's continue to change lives with crypto, and show the world the positive uses, for it's up to us; the loyal Steem blockchain users.

Thank you Andre for all your positive wishes and support. You've influenced the children is such a great way, and words cannot describe how grateful we are.

To all of our Steem supporters:

This absolutely would not have been possible without you. We thank you for the financial support, as well as the moral support you've all provided us. It's the spark that keeps our flame lit, and smiles on the faces of the children.

Let's take Steem to the moon and beyond!

Having Andre as the mentor and the reason for creating your academy is a wise decision. I've watched some of his games in the premier league, and I like the way he plays.

You are doing a great job with those kids. Don't relent.
