Hello everyone, hope you are stronger today than yesterday. And I trust life is treating you fairly too.

Yesterday, we started talking about the life of a graduate. So, our sub topic today is........
ACQUIRE SKILLS.

When we talk about the life of a graduate, or the graduate facing reality, we are so concerned because the mind of a graduate in school has been built on theory, and so they come out of school just looking for places were their theoretical know how could be needed.

As an undergraduate or a graduate, you don't need to solely rely on the theory you get from school. Well, the theory is important, but the skills are of more importance.

Little story about me and the acquisition of skills.

Before I went back to school, I had learned tailoring, or what we call today fashion designing. This skill helped me so much because I was able to buy certain things and equally meet some needs without having to bother my parents. So, when I seat and my friends complain of not having transport almost all the time, it was kinda strange to me though I had days which I didn't have transport too, but not always.

With the skill I had, I didn't take my dresses to pay a tailor to fix or sew them for me, and that saved me a lot of money. I'm someone who loves dresses, and loves changing things on dresses, so imagine that I had to take the dresses to someone for all the fixes and changes, you can guess the money I'll spend.

So, while in school, I got customer's, just my classmates who gave dresses for me to sew them, and that was money. Money made from my classmates while in school.

Frying of puff puff was one of the things I learned when I finished from school, and it made me so much money.
I'll give you my recipe for this at the end of the post 😋

So, you see how important a skill is? It can make way for you when what you've learned in school fails you.

There are equally many graduates out here today who are making money big time, but amazingly, this money is not made from what they've learned in school. It's made from the skills they've learned. Some have paid jobs, but still making so much money with their learned skill, which we call side hustle.

You should also remember that, a good paid job is not guaranteed forever. During the time when COVID-19 was so much rising and the economy was falling, many workers both in the health sector and other works of life where laid-off, because there was no much money to pay all the workers. So, with this, you can see where a skill can easily step in and you won't even feel like you don't have a job again.

People are making so much money out here, just learn a skill, even if you are still in school, or out of school. There are so many places and so many skills you can learn. Some of these skills are........

✅Baking cakes and pastries.
✅Embroidery
✅Makeup tutorial
✅Graphic designing
✅Content writing
✅Public speaking
✅Shoe mending
✅Photography
✅Gardening
And more.......

HOW TO FRY PUFF PUFF
Ingredients
Flour =1kg
Yeast =6 table spoons
Sugar =2 glass cups
Salt =1 table spoon
Warm water
Nutmeg( optional)

Procedure
Seive your flour in a big bowl
Add your sugar, salt, yeast and nutmeg
Mix them together to blend.
Create a hole in the middle and start adding water.
Add water and mix till it becomes a paste not too thick and not too light.
Allow for 30-45minutes for it to rise
Put your oil on the fire for it to get slidely hot.
Fry your puff puff under low heat till its brown.

To better understand the frying heat, you can go where you use to buy and see how they fry so that yours doesn't get brown and raw in the middle or that it doesn't consume too much oil

Hope you learn one of these skills and better your life as you go out there to face reality.

Take care and God bless you 🥰

Wow wow wow, this post carries so much truth and value 🔥
Depending solely on school for a financially independent future is possible, but it is very difficult.
Youths should invest their time in learning skills which will suffice for them on rainy days.

Great post 💥
