Steem Cameroon Best Day Contest: 14/08/2021

Hello members of Steem Cameroon and steemit as a whole. I trust all is well. It's another great opportunity for me to take part in this amazing contest organized by steem Cameroon community leaders.

My best day was actually on the 8th of August 2021. On this day, we had a concert, organized by our company in partnership with Faith Anthony. So on the previous day, Saturday, we had to do set up. So I woke up as early as 6am. I eased myself, brushed my teeth, then came outside and parked mom's car ready to wash. So I cleaned mom's car, both inside and out thoroughly, immediately I was finishing, she came and took the car and left. Then I brought dad's own outside and wash both in and out thoroughly. While washing, dad looked through the window and said "wuna di instead wash moto" he said we should rather start sending things outside and load the car. So we just left the car and started packing the stuffs outside. We loaded boss's car with the few that could enter. Then boss came and said he wants to go search for a cargo. So mom came and dad used her car to go search for the cargo. So before he left, he told me that when we are done loading his car, I should go park it at the road beside Mawa since space will be needed for the cargo. So we brought stuffs right from the studio up stairs, and from the warehouse. We loaded the car with line array stands, cable buckets, Presonus, power arm rack and some mid speakers. So I left with the car to go park it at the road.

Then I came back and rush to take a bath. I immediately I entered the bath, the cargo came. So the others started loading the cargo. Then I finished bathing. While I was bathing, Lian Minstrel arrived. So when I was done bathing, I finished dressing up then went and welcomed her. Then I went and joined the others in loading the cargo. When we finished loading the cargo and left to the road so see a welderer and take some masts we gave him the order to make it. So we took it and loaded it the car. Before going to the road, we had bread and plum. So we left for Franco Aliance. The driver kept stopping on the way for other Business transactions 🤦but I just understood because it's hustle. So when we arrived Franco, the gate was locked. So we had to offload everything and parked it outside. Then passed through the small gate and kept the stuffs inside the hall. So I was on the truck sending the stuffs down for the others to take to the hall. So we had some 4 double lows, 2 mids and generator at Nkwen. So we loaded it into the cargo. It was hell putting the big generator inside the car. But we managed to survive. So we then left the church and brought the stuffs to Franco Alliance. We then offloaded them. This time, the gate was open. So it was earlier. We have trolleys so when we out the double lows down, we just put it on a trolley and push, as simple as that. So setup began.

Setup continues.... Started putting other stuffs in place and time came for use to hoist the line arrays. So we connected the necessary, then hoisted it.

So after hoisting the line arrays, we continued the setup. To an extent, we were almost done.

So tye next day, which was my best day actually, I wokeup at 6am and had my bath. Then I loaded the car with all the stuffs we forgot to take the previous day then we left for the hall. Upon arrival, the gate was locked again🤦. So we just had to pass through the small gate with the equipments. Then we had to add some stuffs on the stage to give stage presence, correct some errors and do finishing touches. So that took us about 8hours to balance up, after about 16hours the previous day. The sound didn't turn out so well as expected but we tried our best. So the concert commenced at 2pm. With worship from some individuals, then the MC was introduced. After the MC was introduced, he came and spoke for a while. While he was speaking, we were already on stage ready to play what we planned, unfortunately, we didn't play cuz the MC didn't know the planned. So we were almost embarrassed. So the main crew came. They finished their first session. When this session was over, another individual mounted the stage. When she was done, the main crew came back. After the main crew, my boss, the sound engineer of the program was introduced. When he was introduced, we mounted the stage with him. When he started speaking, he called forth for Lian Minstrel to come sing something. So she came and sang and we played. After all of that, we left back to our Front Of House (FOH).

So the program finished at around past 5:30pm.
We diamantled everything and wrapped all necessary cables and put in place so that when we come to carry on Tuesday, it'll be easier. So we arranged everything and left for home. When we came back home, we had a cooool bath and then had dinner. That's how my best day went for me guys, thanks for reading
