The diary game: Begining of first term exams for my students (21/11)2024)

Happy weekend, dearest friends of Steem Cameroon. It's me again, @destinedhanik. I wanna share my day with you all. I hope your day was fine and you are all in good health.

In my country, Nigeria, we are in the first term of academic session and this term started on the first week of September for some schools like mine, do we have been teaching for over ten weeks and the term is suddenly drawing to an end. The first term exams began on the 21st of November, and while some children were excited, some were apprehensive.

I left for school as usual very early, because apart from being a subject teacher, I'm also the administrative staff and I had a duty to stand at the gate and check those who have completed their fees. When the students arrived, they sat to revise a little before time for morning Assembly, then after the morning Assembly, they revised again before the exams was started.

After the morning assembly, it was time for the exams to start. One of my subjects was the first to be taken. The first paper started at 9:30am and lasted for 1 hour, 30 minutes. And after that, the second paper was taken.

The exams finally came to an end in the afternoon and the children used the remaining time to rehearse their dance and songs which will be presented on the closing day in form of a Christmas party.

We finally dismissed by 2pm unlike the teaching period when we dismiss by 4pm. I went home and got refreshed, then took lunch which was our local soup, afang and garri. Then I slept a little.

When I woke up, I felt relaxed. I wanted to watch a movie on my phone, then I remembered I had an exams to mark so I decided not to procrastinate. Even if I dint finish all same day, at least I will be able to reduce my workload.

Though I marked into the night, I later got tired and decided to sleep, knowing that I will continue the next day. So that was how I spent my day.
