Hello @steemitblog, it is an honor for me to be here to putting forward my application to being a Country Representative for my country Cameroon. This has been a dream from day 1 that I became part of this platform. And today I see that opportunity to be one.

I have worked closely with the first with the first Cameroon country representative @njiatanga and believe me when I say I know the work required to be a country representative. It is a commitment, dedication, hard work, patience, motivation just to name a few. You know when we talk about being country representative most of us just think it is all about being on the platform, posting good contents, commenting and grading peoples post. But I don’t see it in this light.

Being a country representative to me is more of coaching, encouraging and motivating people to do new and exciting things. Country representative means building a community, encouraging inactive steemians to be active and providing the necessary motivation for active steemians all over. It is a leadership position and I see myself to have those leadership skills to motivate and encourage people to bring in more in the platform. I am specially motivated by the works of @ngoeyi as a country representative. She is one of the best and her hard work and dedication to improvising this community is what I look for.

As a country representative working hand in hand with other country representatives both in Cameroon and out, I plan on bringing up new and interesting ways of encouraging participation and activeness in the community. That is why personally I am in love with the Steemit Engagement initiative.

I will now talk about the criteria required for a country representative.

CRITERIACOMMENTS
ACTIVE IN THE PLATFORM FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHSYES, I have been active on the platform for the past 3 months.

A REPUTATION OF ATLEAST 60I have a reputation of 66SP
LIVE PERMANENTLY IN THE COUNTRY THEY WANT TO BE A COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVEI am a Cameroonian. I was born in the North west region of Cameroon and I presently live in Cameroon
BE FLUENT IN THE MAIN LANGUAGE OF THE COUNTRY THEY WANT TO BE A COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE FORYES, I'm fluent in the language of my people.
HAVE A CSI AND VOTING PATTERN THAT DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE ALREADY SUPPORTING STEEMIANS IN THE COUNTRY THEY WANT TO BE A COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVEAs you can see, I have a CSI of over 53.7 ( 1.30 % self, 231 upvotes, 138 accounts, last 7d )
APPLICANTS SHOULD ALSO BE GENERALLY ACTIVE IN THE WIDER COMMUNITY THROUGH CURATION, COMMENTING, ORGANIZING CONTESTS, OR OTHER ACTIVITIESI am not just active in the steem Cameroon community also in other communities.

As you can see I have not just been active but very active in the past three months even with my working conditions. I was working in Wum where there is a lot of network problems. It has hindered how active I would have loved to be then with these difficulties I still found a way. I resigned from work and will be moving to Bamenda where there is good network coverage.

I have carried out sensitisation through the radio stations

This and more is my plans and vision for Cameroon and Steemit.

TELL US IN NOT MORE THAN 200 WORDS WHY YOU WANT TO BE COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE.

  1. I am very active in the Steemit community. I have contributed to my community Steem Cameroon by delegating 2,000SP which is about 80% of my SP. I also work tirelessly to always recruit steemians even while I am out of network.
  2. Launch a Steemit illiteracy center. This is the plan I had with @njiatanga the former country representative before he went out of network coverage. This initiative was revamped by @chiabertrand and we intend to work together to recruit more steemians and educate them specifically in Bambili where the University is located with a lot of students. I honestly do believe that recruiting and training steemians is a way for a brighter future for this platform. Most people leave steemit because of lack of knowledge and constant coaching which is what we intend to provide. (This program however is not dependent on me being a Country representative.)
  3. I resigned from my job to be a full time steemians. It is hard to look for spotted areas to be online and because of that I quitted my job yesterday. I do believe this will give me ample time to work on steemit.

CONCLUSION.

Overall, I do believe I am a great candidate to fill up one of the positions for a CR. My love for this platform is second to none. Having look for a way to always be active in the platform. It is practically difficult to work without internet network but I did look for a way. @chiabertrand to how difficult it has been to reach me even on normal calls. I sometimes am offline for 5 days, no internet access. Who better to add value to this platform than a person who can overcome this huddles.

And finally, as I have mentioned a couple of times already, I quitted my job just to work full time on steemit and increase my outreach. So as at the time of this application, I am exclusively a steemian. I fill like the phrase Steemexclusive is for me.Thank you for your comment and trust. I look forward to contributing my part in the growth of thIS platform.

hello brother man, I'm glad you finally did the right thing to apply. With you as a country representative, I'm sure the news about #steemit will spread across all Cameroonian citizens especially as you have the zeal to be broadcasting and preaching about the good news of steemit even in radio stations which is what you have been doing before

I think we both can do great things when this is concern because I love hardworking people like you since you are a source of inspiration

I wishing you, me success in this application and I know we shall do our utmost best to spread the good news about steemit to so many Cameroonians most especially as me, you and @breeze.com are planning to open a Steemit literacy center in Bamenda/Bambili where we will be training, mentoring, recruiting and retaining Steemians on daily basis

May God help us through this project ma brother

I do have very high hopes and plans for this project. I know I am with the two most hardworking people to work together. We will push the platform together.

Thank you for ever being there, a regular support and inspiration. You are an example for most steemians .
Thank you for the support.

You project is a good one, and I agree, most recruits are not properly mentored, reasons why most of them leave
Best of luck
