Steem Cameroon Contest - My moments in 2024 (My 2024 Diary)
Hello friends of Steem Cameroon, it is amazing to be a part of this year in 2025. 2024 was an amazing year, it had its highs and also its lows.
I enjoyed every bit of it and also felt down and bad in some moments. But that is what creates memories that last a lifetime.
In the course of this post, I will be detailing my memories of 2024, how I endured the lows and how I enjoyed the highs. Every moment was full of adrenaline rush. The good memories were enjoyed with families and friends also. In the bad moments too, I had my family and friends by my side to help me out.
1) A Visitation To My Great GrandMother - 4th May, 2024
After many years of not traveling to the village, I took a visit there. It was a day full of memories for me because I did grow up there and I have been away for a while. I took the lonely path we used to take while we were children and lo and behold, my great grandmother was in the farm.
I was surprised, because she is really old, I couldn't believe my eyes to see her still farming.
She shouted out of surprise when she heard our voices. She had to take a good look to be sure and she called our names. Her vision was still intact as it was when I left the village years back. Time with her is always full of good memories. This is one of the best memories for me in 2024.
2) End of the Session Party - 1st August, 2024
As a Classroom teacher, it was really a splendid term and capping it off with a party made it even more grand and magnificent. I had the best time of my life with my colleagues. We had some music, danced and had lunch together. It was indeed the time of our lives.
3) Steemit National Meetup - 30th November, 2024
The Nigerian Steemit meetup was a blast, I was excited to meet with a lot of big names too. It was a great time, as I also doubled as the Master of ceremony whilst also learning. It was an exciting evening to see lots of friends and people who I had never met before. We learnt, danced, ate and had a good time out.
In life, there are good moments and also bad moments...I had bad and ugly moments in 2024.
They were both injuries...a love one did not die throughout the year but I had injuries accidentally and from football.
- Injury On My Nose
I had an accident that made me sustain injury on my nose. I bled out constantly until I was given first aid. The next morning, my face swelled and I was going through pains for one week. It was not a great memory for me.
- A Deep Cut From Football - 18th August, 2024
While playing football, I was elbowed very close to the eye. I fell down and by the time I could regain consciousness, people had crowded where I was laying down. Blood was gushing out from an injury very close to my left eye. I was so scared for my life. I was rushed to a health centre and treated immediately. I was also given medication and with the help of my friend, I got home.
The whole month wasn't a wonderful time to be sincere. I had to look at the mirror every single day...my mental health was low too.
Well I am glad it wasn't that deep, I only have a scar right now from it and I resumed playing football 2 months later.
Those moments are the best and worse memories I had in 2024...and I hope to have great and wonderful memories in 2025.
