BACK TO SCHOOL CAMPAIGN FOR ALL CHILDREN IN BAMENDA POWERED BY STEEMIT

Our world is gradually moving to the lane of beings with information whether from newspapers, podcasts, books, news etc. Whether we all like it or not we all must follow the trend of those who have the information and how to use it.

The North and South West regions of Cameroon 🇨🇲 for 5 years now have been in socio-economic crises which has greatly affected the school going rate. Many school institutions have been burnt from the very basic level to some high levels. There is this fear in everyone about school. We have been in gunshots on a daily basis for the past 5 years. Children have been attacked on their way to school, kidnapped at school, some killed, others raped, some have been left handicapped for their entire lives.

Teachers and school administrators are not even out of the show. These persons too have even faced worst scenarios. Behaeded at popular streets and junctions in these regions. Some flee for their life but their families are left to pay the price. Everyone gets implicated either directly or indirectly.

With this, the dream of young Cameroonians to see themselves at the top is shattered. No one hopes of being the next president, great doctor or scientist, you can name the rest. Teachers that all took the oath to impact young persons with knowledge have given up on their dreams cursing themselves for haven choosed this field.

The most exciting part is yet to come. YES because even after all the atrocities and cursing some parents still send children to school, some teachers still go to teach and some children are still ready to learn. This in a way encourages others to take up the challenge and gradually the story is turning round. People want the education in any circumstance at all cost.

This BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT FOR ALL CHILDREN comes at a crucial time in our crises situation where everyone wants change and is willing to donate for the course.

The plan of action is to

🔆 first pitch the initiative to everyone who can be of help. And in 2 weeks or so we gather what cames in as support.
🔆 A day is then set and the Dance for Development team is tasked with bringing together children from diverse backgrounds for the donation process.

How do we gather these Children

Given this is an act of development to the community, information will be sent to churches, meeting houses, football clubs for them to locate children with the need fir support. With gathering we can then set up sporadic dates and visit them with our donations.

Once a sustainable donation has been made, a gathering under the theme Schooling in a Green Environment with the lead from @thegreens organization, @mrgreens and @peacemaker. This will enable us teach these children the need for them to be active in saving mother nature.
A weekly report will be sent in to indicate the progress made. No date limit for now as we plan on meeting mpre children in remote areas, the project will run continuously as the academic year unfolds.

We target reaching 200 children with donations from you all, children in real need from Bamenda.
