Successful National Meetup For Nigerian Steemians [30/11/2024]

Warm greetings my beloved steemians across the globe, Happy December to you all. It's your girl @missyleo from Nigeria. I'm here to update you on how my Saturday's activities went, it was all fun, I beg you to read to the end.

Let me just start by breaking down how my day activities went on Saturday 30th November 2024. This date has been given me sleepless night, I was so anxious for it to come so that I won't die of suspense.

I woke up feeling somehow sick in my appearance because I have already programmed my day, how I will act from the period of 8am to 2pm of that day. I put on this fake illness sign on my face because of my working place.

I had taken permission from work to be absent on that day or even do half day at work inorder for me to have time to also attend this one in a million #NationalMeetupForNigerianSteemians but my boss didn't approve of it, this made me felt so bad and I wasn't ready to stay back from this very event, I had to device a means inorder to attend it.

When I got to work that morning I was acting very weak and sick, infact if you were to see my face, I was looking so pile and you will certainly believe I was sick but inside of me I was very strong and agile. My colleagues and my supervisor saw me and was shocked and asked what's wrong with me but I didn't answer them, so it was left for them to figure it themselves that I'm not feeling well.

When it was 12noon I began to act up more funny, I fake some vomit, as I rushed to the toilet to throw-up, and my body suddenly became very hot, I was running temperature immediately, my supervisor had to call my boss to informed her of my sickness so she permitted me to go home, that was about few minutes after 2pm, I was so happy within me that my tricks has worked, that was how I was able to leave the office and went home to freshen up and prepared for the event.

Before then I have put a call across to my friend to get prepared so we can move together, so when she arrived my place we boarded a bus down to the venue of the event.

Immediately we arrived the venue, everywhere was filled up with beautiful and handsome faces of steemians. The excitement on my face was what I can't explained, I started take photos with my fellow steemians without wasting time.

The first two steemians I meet with was @bonaventure and @sahmie. In my mind I was saying so these are the faces that used to review my post, finally I've met with you one-on-one🤣

After all the pleasantries and and taking of photos part one, we were all seated and the event started properly, it was anchor by @johnmitchel as the MC. After the introductin process by all the steemians on board, then our mama @ngoenyi took over the floor by giving an inspiring teaching on the topic Why Steemit? She made us understand that steemit is not just the platform for making money but it's also for learning.

The second speaker was our dear mama @goodybest, she spoke at length and her emphasis was on engagement, as a steemian you are to engage in other people post, as you do this they too will be motivated to follow suit.

The last speaker was our honourable @xkool24, he was basically talking about how we can promote steemit in our neighborhood, social media page and even in our different places of work.

After the whole teaching from our different speakers, the floor was opened for questions and answers, a lot of us asked questions especially on things we didn't understand or know, thank God all our questions were provided answers to.

The next activity that took place was a prank gift presentation which was proudly sponsored by our able Boss @boosj23. That was an excellent act from him, though I wasn't opportune to receive any gift 😭 but it is well, he still deserves an accolade.

The most important activity came up, guess what? It was time for food, refreshments and entertainment. I like food, yes I know, so don't look at me that way.

The next activity was the series of photos session, followed by dancing. I really took out time to snap a lot of pictures, I trust my phone, there's enough space in it.

Please just bear with me as I show you lots of personalities that I got to meet one-on-one, it is a privilege I know and I'm happy and grateful for such a privilege.

After all the dancing we all went back to our different homes, as I got back home it was about 7pm. I undressed and went straight to the bathroom to freshened up before I look for what to eat since I was feeling hungry again.

Thank God I had soup in the house because I was really hungry of swallowing, so I quickly prepare garri and warmed the soup then ate. After eating I became so tired and I needed to rest and also observed my screen-time.
