The Diary Game: Attending morning lectures/dealing with hunger in a T-pain economy (17-12-2024)
Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I believe all is well and you all are enjoying this festive season. It's your favorite steemian @purpleidy23 and I want to bring a brief diary of how my day went on Tuesday
My day started out so well. I got up from bed, did my morning exercise, did my chores, prepared and stepped out to school. You know Christmas is by the corner and we're (I mean my school) going on a Christmas break and once we resume, our examination is kicking off so the lecturers are trying their best to meet up with the scheme of work for this semester. It hasn't been easy having to cope with a 6:am class as a newly admitted student and to think of it, I resumed school a bit late than when I was supposed to because of financial setback but in all I'll push forward to get this first degree.

Since I couldn't prepare something for breakfast before stepping out, I stopped by a fruit stand close to my school to get a fruit salad. I wasn't a fan of this fruit salad before but I fell in love with this woman's own the day my school sister took me to her spot to get it for herself, she convinced me to give it a try that I'd love it and since then there's not been a day I haven't stopped by to patronize her. After getting the salad, I found a place to sit and have a good take of it before going in to attend lectures. The lecture was a long one and I couldn't help but dooze off at intervals but thank God for my friend who kept nudging me to stay awake.

After lectures around 4pm, I was so famished and exhausted. I needed something to hold my stomach so I could get home and fix something nice for myself. Omo, keeping up with transport fare in this economy is hard so I had to trek home after getting all I needed. Firstly, I bought roasted chicken and plantain to eat before I'd faint on the road because the level of hunger I felt at the moment could either make me faint or let me not say the next thing on my mind. This roadside vendors are really trying and God will bless their effort and hustle because if not them, who knows what would've happened to me at that moment where I needed something to eat urgently and home was far away.

I'm one person that likes to try things out, there's this potato porridge I saw online and I so wanted to try it out so the next thing I bought was fresh potatoes and the quantity that was sold for a thousand naira was so little but I was determined not to let anything stop me from eating what I wanted at any given moment so I bought three portions of the potatoes and some other ingredients I needed to prepare the food. I got home really late and preparing the food was a big deal because there was no light at home and my phone had shut down before I got home so I only had to postpone my cooking till the next day.

After deciding I won't cook for the night, I took my bath and went out to sit out and my neighbor's children came out for me to gist them. Trust children to always disturb you till they get what they want so since I had no story in mind, I had to tell them of a cartoon I love so much, it's called 'COCO'. I know most of you has seen that movie, it's my favorite cartoon and since my friend deleted that movie out of my phone so they'll be space, I've been looking for a way to get it back. After telling them about 'coco', I asked them to go to bed because it was late and we all went in to rest for the day. Thank you so much for reading till this point. It's always been a pleasure to get such audience from you all.
