THE DIARY GAME||30 Nov 2024||: Attending My colleague's baby shower on returning back from the Market

Hello people!

I'm really excited to be sharing with you my diary of today. My day was special with lots of interesting things in it. Starting off with the market and ending the day by attending a baby shower and later on returning home to chill out.

I woke up this morning filling excited as it was a weekend. First thing I do in the morning, I dashed into the bathroom to clean my teeth after which I took a bath immediately as I will be leaving for the market very early in the morning.

Notwithstanding, before sleeping last night I was having some little stomach problems and when I got up I didn't want to take anything but just Normal water. I just had it for the morning before leaving for the market.

At my junction, I took a bike to the marketplace. It was a hectic ride as a lot of traffic we faced on the road. Douala stand out as a populated city in my country. Lot of infrastructure and citizens, added to this it equally the economic capital of Cameroon. There is a lot happening in the early hours of the morning as everyone is rushing to work and business people rushing to their business places as well.

So oftentimes in the morning it is very difficult to get to work on time. Owing to the fact that Times you get caught up in traffic up to maybe 3 to 4 hours before it can be resolved. This is a serious problem which needs to be addressed or as people will sometime get sanctioned for what they didn't intend for at work due to late coming.

Lucky for me it was a market day. It's wasn't a my work day. So I could arrive at any time and still get no sanction. 30 minutes later we finally crossed the area which was highly saturated and my ride finally took approximately 1.5 hours before reaching the marketplace.

One of the reasons I have to be there is because I was informed a new container will be arriving on Saturday so I have to be there to see what is new and also to help out with uploading the container. Not so much new stuff were present this time, we just had some speakers and laptops. Not a majority as always

After carefully uploading, We took the inventory of all the stocks that have been added to the store and began sampling them one after another. This took more than time As we need to service the products at once before putting them in their various parking. It was quite a tedious job yet we were able to accomplish it finally

Time had pass by and we have served a good number of customers who were present to see what new stuffs we brought today. For some there where able to make a good number of purchases. While others were there Just to survey the content and later come on for purchase.

Getting to evening, I need to be on my way. So I Say goodbye to the store manager, And left the vicinity. This time, I wasn't going straight home as I still have one more program to attend before finally going home. My colleague has long announced that we should come for baby shower this Saturday at his residence.

Although exhausted after the long hour of work, I said to myself I can't be absent from this as it is a crucial event and my presence means a lot to the family. So I have to forego the stress and took on hills to the venue. I arrived a few minutes late whereas some of my colleagues have already been seated. Upon arrival Great that everybody, and asked for the baby where he is at but they told me the baby was sleeping already. I resume celebration with the rest.

We have a couple of shots, perform some dance moves among ourselves for a period of 1 hour straight. Everyone present was having their fun. I equally enjoyed myself as well. Well as the food served there was so delicious and also I had some nice cold drink after a hot sunny day.

1.5 hours later, it was already 6:30 p.m. In the evening. So I told my colleagues I am tired already, I needed to get going. So I waved those who are present Goodbye and equally some of my colleagues decided to live with me at the same time. We left the rest and went our separate ways.

Upon arriving home, so exhausted, I move straight to the bathroom to take a shower immediately. While I'm back, I dressed up and head to the roadside to have something for the night. I was able to grab some fried chicken and plantains which I ate later in the evening while sipping some wine.

Overall, I can say it was a great day for a fun and interesting activities. Everything went well and I am happy and thankful to God it happened that way. Thank you all for reading through my diary right up to this point.
