Greetings my fellow Steemians. Hope we all had a great day. Today I will love to share with you how I spend my day 12-02-2022. It was a tedious day which I over worked my self out but finally it went on well.

Dismantling of an old bridge in the quarter

MORNING

I got up that same morning and had to clean the house. After which I made a small break fast and started getting prepared for the community work. I finally left the house around 7:30am and went to the site where we were to dismantle an old bridge in the quarter. I was among the first to be there so had to wait for others to come before we start the work. We later started the work by first pegging how the bridge will pass. Later we started removing the older plank and parking them. It wasn’t easy at all since it was really heavy. While working some community members came to the site to share and encourage us. Some came with food, drinks and water as well. After working for hours we took a break to rest just by. We were hungry and tired so had to replenish the energy already used.

AFTERNOON

The sun was so hard on us and due to the nature of the labor we decided to had launch. We were served with fufu corn and Kati Kati and palm wine.

Resting time
It was a nice time participating in a community work. The elderly person’s where there, who then shared with us the history of the quarter and most especially how they first manage to have the first bridge which we were dismantling. The quarter heads as well were present to show their support and see how wrk was moving.
After all that entertainment, we return to the site to continue. This time it was so slow as many were already tired. We worked for like 2hrs then close the entrance to the bridge with car tires to prevent any bad incident.
Before leaving we had a small briefing on what time to meet the next day, kind of tools to bring and also trying to bring other quarter members to assist since it was to be more of digging. I came back home and was so tired then decided just to rest in-front of my door while chatting with my neighbors.

EVENING

After resting for a while, I decide to go inside the house to clean up since I was already dirty. After cleaning up I went out and took a drink at least to have some more rest. Some of my friends came and we spend sometime together. When I came back home, I warm the remaining food which I cooked the previous day and ate.

From there I decided to open my phone and respond to my text on my social media platforms. It took me sometime but all went well. I later played a movie to passed time but was taken off by sleep. Since I was tired, I just close the computer, prayed and slept. That’s how May Day was on the 12.
