Greetings to the steem world. Hope we all had a great day.

Today I will love to share with you how the new virus have affected our farmers and their production and the impact it have cause to the food supply system. Some of the gamers are seriously affected and under isolation thus a drop in food production and disruption in the supply chain.

Covid-19 has already put in place negative impacts within the world economy. These impacts have drastically affected the farmers and food production sectors. The supply food products are already fluctuating because the measures put in place to remedy the spread of the virus have affected the supply food chain both home and abroad.

The damaging effects on food security, farmers livelihood and those working on food supply chain are relatively waiting for policy responses within now and the future on how we will build resilience.
Within this time, government have been proposing and supporting strategies which will help in the smooth functioning of food production. With the challenges faced now, farmers have to increase on the transformation of food products so as to build resilience to surpass the challenges amongst which is the threat of climate Change.

Farmers have been adapting on some challenges in the past like floods, drought and war but the covid-19 have come up with its own challenges reducing the what is grown and what people want. This is proving that a lot have to be done in order to foster resilience on food supply chains.

Agriculture is a physical activity which needs the presence of workers to fill the soil, plant and harvest. Now with the new virus couple with its measure to limit it spread, it’s really hard to increase food production.
It’s not easy to tell about the long term effect of Covid 19. What we all need to know is that there is need for more resilient food systems to advance agricultural sustainability so as to assist the supply chain in responding to possible future crises. This unclear notion about tomorrow is making it hard for farmers to plan because they can not invest without having in mind the future demands.
It’s not easy now couple with climate change and conflicts but farmers are so resilient and hoping soon for things to be normal the way they were before the start of this pandemic. Thanks for finding time to read. We stay in touches.

I love your post and the sensitisation about Covid but what i don’t understand is how Covid actually affected the farmers. I didn’t get you point.

You know farming entails a lot of physical work. When harvesting laborers are needed and with covid measures it can be possible for them to meet again. That’s a problem to a farmer as he or she will halt or limit production thus food crises.
Secondly most of the farmers will not invest as the future is undetermined when the virus will end and things turn to normal.
So what is affecting a farmers are measures which affect but their workers and thus total output
