Greetings to all steemians. I do believe that we are steeming on well. Permit me share my diary game of today.

MORNING.

I woke up early as usual .Then i did some self care routines and also prepared kids for school after preparing them breakfast. So they ate and went to school. Later at 8:30 i took off to Blue Pearl at S-bend mile 3 because we had a meeting there that was organized by PLAN International under the SIDA Project. The few of us who went early had to sit and wait for others to come before the meeting could start.

At about 10am every body was around and the meeting started. This meeting was about disability and inclusion. We began by doing participants introduction and facilitators. Next was participants expectations and fears. We had discussions on the size of the problem. It was discussed that the problem is disability and the size is the Population in the NW that has disability and this population is extimated to be 15% of the total population in Bamenda. There were discussions on the main causes of disabilities which were disease condition, accidents, birth and age.

AFTERNOON

The facilitator continued with some concepts which were disability and inclusion. He defined impairment as any bodily deficiency that prevents a human being from functioning and from carring out daily activities and disability as any environmental barrier that prevent a person with an impairment from carrying out an activity. But there was one thing that was striking in the meeting which was "there is no one person in the world who live with disability" . These were the facilitator's words. In order to respond to people's reactions, he supported the above fact by saying that "a human being can only become disable when he/she is unable to carry out an activity because of environmental factors like obstacles that will disturb a person with visual impairment(for example ) from moving from one point to the other".

The meeting continued until 3pm. I took some photos with my coleagues and we had lunch.

Woow I see your day was really occupied. I see you guys spent almost all your day at the plan international meeting. I also see you guys talked so much about disability which is very important. I love the statement "no body lives with disability" and I also love the backup of the statement by the person. Woow I'm so happy 😁 I have learned something from this post and I appreciate you for that dear
