Good Morning everyone.

Yesterday, I started my day with a 45-minutes body exercise session. After that, I took a bath and got ready for work. While I was preparing, my younger sister arrived from Yaoundé. The fun in the house instantly increased with her arrival. I then headed to the office.

At work, I shared with my colleagues how nostalgic I felt after reading my boss's post about Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book Braiding Sweetgrass

For those who grew up in the Bamenda Highlands, such books unlock cherished memories. They not only revive memories but also remind us of the passions we followed into adulthood and those we lost sight of as we grew older. I recalled how my siblings and I used to sit around with our parents, listening to stories that entertained us and created a strong bond. Nowadays, it's different. The misuse of technology is eroding the connectedness, oneness, and bond within many families. I wonder what we will offer the next generation.

By noon, I had a fruit salad and continued reading Dr. Myles Munroe's book Maximizing Your Potential. In the first chapter, Dr. Munroe keenly describes the nature of so many societies and reading through this I can see a Cameroonian society been described. He notes that the majority of people live normal lives, engage in normal activities, and strive for normal goals. In other words, we rarely dare to pursue our full potential(maximum) and many die unfulfilled. Have you ever wondered why children dream so much? It’s because dreams are visual manifestations of the seeds of destiny planted in each human's spirit and soul. The ideas and imaginations we have while growing up are evidence that we are created with the ability to conceive and achieve dreams. Can you still remember all those dreams you had as a child?

As we grow and develop, the average adult loses the free-spirited, open-minded, inquisitive, daring, and believing nature of a child. Much of our social and cultural environment contributes to this loss of the ability to dream. Often, our environment works against our dreams and minimizes the scope of the vision in our hearts. For example, the dreams of becoming a pilot, engineer, or politician etc, are often suppressed by our surroundings. We are mentally and spiritually trained to fear our dreams and doubt our destiny. We are discouraged from believing that our passion for greatness is normal. The result is that many individuals live under the spell of fear, specifically the fear of success and failure, as stated by experts in human behavior. Many never accomplish anything because they are repeatedly told That won’t work and thus they live never to try.
I believe I would make a change in my lifetime. And I hope that as you read through this, you will revive your dreams.Do not let the child in you sleep.

I later left the office and headed home. The vibes was on another level. We made fun, watch movies and headed to bed.
I had an amazing day.
