in Steem Cameroonlast month

On Friday, May 31st, @chant and I conducted our final Steemit training session for the month of May. This brings us to a total of four training sessions organized in May. Although we had a small number of participants, the quality and dedication of those who attended were inspiring as they are active and have pledged their commitment to Steemit.

Friday's training included three new participants alongside our previously trained active Steemians: @tanjong-mirian, @nsangou-rudolf, and Chris. Despite a lack of electricity for the PowerPoint presentation, we used my laptop to effectively discuss Steemit and all the important details about how to Steem. I facilitated the session in Pidgin English, a local language, which made the discussion more engaging. The new participants, Gemuh, Silas, and Bryan, asked several questions that were answered by @chant and I. By the end of the two-hour training, they promised to join Steemit.

The training session concluded with a brief refreshment period, during which @nforyembe joined us. It was an exciting and productive session. Meanwhile, Rudolf, Mirian, and Fred promised to raise awareness and bring at least 20 people to our first training session of June, scheduled for Friday, June 7th. The three new participants were added to the Steem Cameroon WhatsApp Group, where they will be mentored and guided to complete their introductory posts.

World Environment Day Activities

Earlier in the day, after my breakfast, I designed the World Environment Day Quiz flyers, crafted an awareness message, and joined colleagues from the Network of Environmental Stakeholders (NEST-Cam) for a radio program. Our goal was to raise awareness about this year's World Environment Day, themed "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience" with the slogan "Our Land, Our Future: We Are #GenerationRestoration."

As the Secretary General of the Network of Environmental Stakeholders (NEST-Cam), I crafted the following message to raise awareness about the World Environment Day Quiz:

The Regional Delegation of Environment, Protection of Nature, and Sustainable Development (RD-MINEPDED) for the North West, in collaboration with ______________ [Your organization name] and the Network of Environmental Stakeholders Cameroon (NEST-Cam), is organizing a World Environment Day Quiz for primary, secondary, high school, and university students on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the conference hall of the delegation at 09:00 AM. Winners of the quiz will receive their prizes on June 5, 2024, during the World Environment Day commemoration.

For any questions or participation details, please contact ___________ [Your organization contact] via WhatsApp.

So far, I've been able to bring together over 70 Civil Society Organizations and activists and raise funds and trees to commemorate this year's World Environment Day.
