Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 06/10/2024

I've always believed in making each day a beautiful day or a day worth envying, but some days are worth terming "best days", just like the one below.

Good day steaming Steemians, welcome to my blog today as I share a special day I had yesterday, 5th of October 2024 with you.

A few months back, I was called by an acredited beauty school in Douala, in the Littoral region of Cameroon, to tutor 2 English speaking students out of 36 preparing to write their end of course exams. I was glad to take on this very importantand delicate responsibility, that of being the bridge between these students and their dream career.

Fast forward to yesterday 5th of October 2024, they were defending their term papers and graduating at the same time. This was a much anticipated day because aside from seeing them defend their training, they are a step away towards being young professionals in the beauty industry.

They were all so beautifully dressed and made-up, excited and ready to face the jury of the day. The place was jammed full with parents, friends and well-wishers. The defence started at about 8 am and it was scheduled in alphabetical order, so my students had their turn later by 4pm.

It was finally their turn and they were so brilliiant, infact one of my students, Phanuella had the best mark out of all 32 students. She had a 19/20 (a distinction) while Henriette had 14. This was actually my best day of the week because I felt fulfilled as a tutor. My efforts were well rewarded by the excellent performance they had this day. Did I mention that yesterday was teachers day as well? That was reason enough to celebrate.

After that, while the last students were doing their part, celebrations had already begun. Phones were taking pictures every where, professional camera men were busy hustling and the dj wasn't doing a bad job either. There was equally an exciting concept deduced by the administration where the students had to symbolically sign their way out of the school against their names on the backdrop.

The day ended with a lot of celebrations and I returned home a fulfilled teacher. They remain under my tutorship till the end.
