Hello steemian good evening to you all hope all had a beautiful day we'll spent.Today is World Environment Day 2021 under the Theme Ecosystem Restoration.

What's Ecosystem Restoration:
Ecosystem restoration means assisting in the recovery of ecosystems that have been degraded or destroyed, as well as conserving the ecosystems that are still intact. ... All kinds of ecosystems can be restored, including forests, farmlands, cities, wetlands and oceans.

As an individual what have you done to restore our ecosystem.

Here I am watering my 🌲 tree in my environment.

  1. Repairing and replanting wetlands, creek beds, forestland, and other habitats.
  2. Eradicating invasive species.
  3. Replacing turf grass with native species.
  4. Planting rain gardens to absorb rainwater running off roofs or asphalt.

Ecosystem Restoration can help buffer the impact of climates change.

These ecosystems help to mitigate the impacts of climate change by absorbing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. ... Natural infrastructure can reduce flood and drought risks and improve water quality and food security, as well as provide greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction benefits.

Cleaning my tree
Trees provide so many benefits to our everyday lives. They filter clean air, provide fresh drinking water, help curb climate change, and create homes for thousands of species of plants and animals. Planting a Billion Trees can help save the Earth from deforestation.

[6/8, 09:45] Babe Vio🧡: Trees And Climate Change: Carbon Absorption Potential

**As trees grow, they help absorb and sink the carbon that would otherwise contribute to global heating. ... In addition to the carbon dioxide trees capture, they also help the soil capture and store carbon.

** Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world's wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for tools and shelter
