The Diary Game3 (24/12/2024)//Buying foodstuffs for Christmas day.

Hello fellow steemians accept warm greetings from my home country Cameroon .To precise northwest, Bamenda .Today is another great day for me to share with you people how I spent my day . Today was a very busy day for me as I have already programmed to buy food items for Christmas in the market . Traffic these days has been really terrible.Vehicles could stop at a spot for 1hour without moving in the streets of my home town . We have no choice than to struggle and see how to run our errands for days.

Christmas is at the corner everyone is trying to buy something special for the kids or house hold .To celebrate the day special . At 9:30am, I had to leave the house early to buy foodstuffs and especially the one on Christmas day .

While,at the roadside to there was serious traffic.I thought going out early to the market will make avoid unnecessary traffic .But today was the worst,I stood at the roadside for about 40minutes before I could be able to see a taxi that I can take me in the market.

A distance of 15minutes, we spent about 50minutes to reach the market.While, inthe market congestion was not easy, with too many people population in the market trying to buy one or two things for Christmas.I removed my list I made things I wanted to buy and followed it while buying foodstuffs.

I went at the section where vendors who have brought things directly from their farms sales .It abit moderate to buy from them than those who buy from them and retailed to us. I bought waterleaves and Eru .The price of Waterleaves was not bad compared to the prices of other past festive season.

When , was done buying the above mentioned.I needed to buy crayfish and pepper soup dry spice .I already have my steady costumers I buy these from them .With no hesitation I when to their locations in the market .I Bought crayfish and pepper soup spice .

From there I needed Maggi, white rappen paper ,Njansa ,onions and Garlic .I bought the quantity I needed .The way onions is very expensive I wonder at times while these basic necessities are expensive.I got no choice than to buy them.

I concluded my buying with okongangbong vegetable . Very expensive than normal price during noon festive days.The funniest thing is that those vendors know consumers will buy because they got no choice .

When was done buying food items from the market .I took a taxi back to my destination .To reach was not easy as there is serious traffic on the way . Finally I arrived home but there was no way to rest as I had much work to do .The previous day soaked part dry kanda I brought from the North region to get soft .Immediately I changed and went to the kitchen .The kanda was abit soft than I cook it .I clean it and put in a big pot on a charcoal fire site to prepare it .

I made it much because I want to preserve some in the fridge .Anytime I want to cook I just take some and prepare . At the moment , I decided to removed dirts from the spices my husband brought the previous .After, I washed the green spices well and stored in the fridge .

At this juncture, I was tired and exshauted coupled with fact that there no electricity in my neighborhood. Since morning uptil now , I decided stop working and do the rest of the things tomorrow morning .I heated leftovers food and we ate .We had to go to bed early as there was no light .

We were so angry why ENEO will cut off light on Christ eve .I think is a sad situation and poor management.I went to bed took nap for about 5hours , got up now and decided to write my diary of the day.Wishing all my fellow steemians happy Christmas and a prosperous Newyear in advance 🫶.
