Aroma (Original Exotic Poetry)

in Poem lovers3 years ago

When closing my eyes,
I, on a sultry summer evening,
Breathe in the aroma of your sweet saint,
I see before me the coast of the seas,
Filled with the brightness of monotonous light;

A lazy island where nature has given everyone
Strange trees with fleshy fruits;
Men, with powerful and slender bodies,
And women, whose eyes are full of carelessness.

Gliding to happy countries behind the pungent smell,
I see a port full of masts and sails,
Still worn out by the struggle with the ocean.

And the tamarind breath of the woods,
That enters my chest, floating to the water from the slopes,
Mingles in my soul with the tunes of sailors.
