SUCCESS IN LIFE AND MINISTRY 1
"THIS BOOK OF THE LAW SHALL NOT DEPART FROM YOUR MOUTH, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. FOR THEN YOU WILL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS, AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS."
Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)
• Success is a result of the discovery of purpose. And until you had discovered purpose, you cannot claim to be a success.
- Purpose is the intent of the creator or manufacturer. God is your Maker, the Manufacturer so to speak. Therefore, Purpose is the intent of God for your life. The reason why He created you.
- Thus, when you know the purpose why you are created, you are on a journey to success.
- Note:
a. God made you an answer to some people's prayers. You were made to help some people, solve their problems. You are meant to be a solution to their predicaments.
b. You are also meant to make a change, correct some things, in your time of living whilst on planet earth. - At times your purpose is discovered through an inclination; a preference or liking. What you are attracted to, could be the area of your gifting, which God wanted to use you in blessing others.
- It could be what thrilled you. What excited you. Or what moved you to crying. Or what you are passionate about. What you see differently could be what you are assigned to change.
- Remember, your purpose or the plan of God for your life is wired; installed or programmed into you by God.
- You find fulfilment when you begin to do whatever you are created to do, and then be whatever God wanted you to be.
• A vision is a divine mandate—an authoritative command or instruction.
- A vision is the details of God's purpose for an individual believer.
- A vision is a bidding, an instruction or a command, to do or fulfil a particular purpose or assignment.
- God has a specific assignment for every child of His. God wants you to be yourself and do whatever you are wired to do.
- If you are pioneering a new work, ministry, It means you are being sent to solve a particular problem.
- Note: you are not sent to meet every need, solve every problem, nor sent to every person. These things are important to note in your work in the ministry:
a. You are sent to a company of people (Galatians 2:7-9; 2 Timothy 1:11).
b. You are to solve specific problems (Jeremiah 1:9,10; Acts 26:16-18).
c. Your assignment is geographical (Acts 22:18-21). - For clarity purpose, the points mentioned above, could also be known or ascertained through the answering of these basic questions:
a. What specifically does God want you to do?
b. Where does He want you to do it?
c. How does God want you to go about it?
d. When would He want you to do it, or commence the doing of it.
• One of the aims of this teaching is, If you are called of God into the ministry, you would be able to know what He wanted you to do, be able to preach or teach and remained focus, at the end of the teaching.
- You should know your emphasis, the points to stress in your messages—teachings or preachings. This usually emanates from the dealings of God in your life as an individual. What you had learned in your walk with God over the years.
a. The WHEN talks about the timing. When to do or start the work.
b. The WHERE is about the place or location: town, city, and the country, where to do the work or run the vision.
IF your ministry or assignment is being run in a wrong location or place, It might not prosper.
-NOTE: running your vision in a wrong place is as serious as not knowing the actual purpose or vision or the plan of God for your life. Striving or struggling to do what you are called to do in a wrong place would be as if you were not called or assigned to do it to begin with.
IN such a situation, you attract a wrong set of people and they would not receive your message:
18 AND SAW HIM [Jesus] SAYING TO ME [Paul], ‘MAKE HASTE AND GET OUT OF JERUSALEM QUICKLY, FOR THEY WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR TESTIMONY [message] CONCERNING ME [Jesus].’ 19 So I said, ‘Lord, they know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believe on You. 20 And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by consenting to his death, and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.’ 21 THEN HE SAID TO ME, ‘DEPART, FOR I WILL SEND YOU FAR FROM HERE TO THE GENTILES’ ” (Acts 22:18-21 NKJV).
YOU may know WHAT God wanted you to do; know the WHEN, the timing; but missed it in the WHERE, the geographical location, where the Vision should be run.
c. The HOW is all about the pattern through which God wants the vision to be fulfilled. Are you to pioneer a new work or ministry? Are you to work in an existing ministry or church, be a branch pastor or in the administrative department of the church? You have to settle this before the commencement of the work.
d. The WHAT would be a big problem If It was not settled before you started. Some are called to pastor a congregation, a church, while some are called into itinerary work—field work or ministry.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Whatever God has not planted in your body that is working against your health and wellness is cursed and completely uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- The hold is completely broken and will never rise again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
