Hello members of Steem Skillshare Community. I believe everyone is doing wonderfully well. Today, I have an amazing art work to share with you all. This art work is Dyeing of Fabric and it requires a lot of creativity.
Dyeing of fabric simply means applying colors to fabric to give a beautiful design. Dyeing is of different stages / processes which I will be explaining below.

The materials / equipments needed are;

• Fabric
• Dye ( which is the color)
• Caustic soda
• Hydrosulphite
• Bowl
• Spoon
• Hot water
• Cold water

It is quite simple you know! Let's see the outcome by following the below procedures;
Dyeing of fabric has different methods, I will be showing you the type called "Mabels".

STEPS

Step 1

The first step is to note the front of the fabric. Wet it in cold water.

Step 2

Put the fabric on a flat surface then squeeze it to get your preferred design.

Step 3

Prepare chemicals with the following processes;

• Put your color into a bowl ( please make sure light color comes first when working with more than one color).
• Add caustic soda and then wait for hot water to be ready.
• Add the hydrosulphite
• Pour hot water into the bowl immediately.
• Stir the mixture

Step 4

Apply the color to the fabric. Repeat the process for other colors and also apply it on the fabric.

Step 5

Wait for a little while and then rinse off the dye thoroughly.
