Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all feeling well today. Well, I am sharing with you now the process on how to prepare Nilagang Baboy or Boiled Pork.

Nilagang Baboy is one of the easiest Filipino Pork soup dishes that anyone can prepare, and it's commonly served at lunch or dinner. I consider it easiest since you are just like pouring in all your ingredients into the boiling water. So, as to how it's done, let's start!

NILAGANG BABOY

Filipino Pork Soup Dish

INGREDIENTS

  • Pork (Belly or Bones)
  • Squash, peeled, seeded and cut into an-inch chunks
  • Banana (saba), Roundelle sliced
  • Red Onion, thinly sliced lengthwise
  • Garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pechay, ends trimmed and leaves separated
  • String beans, cut into 2-inch length
  • Gabi / Taro , peeled and cut into an-inch chunks
  • Oil

PROCESS

1. Heat the cooking pot, add oil and saute the garlic and onion.

2. Put in the Pork and initially cook until the color turns light brown.

3. Add water. Bring it to a boil, then simmer until the Pork becomes tender.

4. Put in the Gabi and Squash. 10 minutes in enough to initially cook them.

5. Add the String beans, and cook until tender.

6. Put in the Banana, and cook for about 3 minutes.

7. Season the soup dish with salt and pepper. Stir.

8. Lastly, put in the Pechay, and cook for 3 minutes.

And it's done! Just that!
