Hi Friends!

Last Friday, October 01, 2021, we celebrated my older sister's 32nd birthday. And in celebration of her day, we had a simple salo-salo where we prepared some of our favorite foods for special days like birthdays. One of those is the Macaroni Pasta salad, the most requested dessert of the family. And so for today, I'm gonna be sharing with you the simple and easy steps in preparing it.

Macaroni Salad is a type of pasta salad that's mainly made with cooked elbow macaroni. It's best served cold, and it's actually one of the most prepared desserts here in the Philippines on special occasions.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g Macaroni Pasta
  • 432g Canned Fruit Cocktail
  • (2) 250 ml All-purpose cream
  • 300ml Condensed Milk
  • 500ml Mayonnaise

  • PROCESS

    1. Boil water in a pot, add the pasta, stir and cook it to Al dente for 10-15 minutes.

    2. Take the pasta off the heat. Drain the water and rinse the cooked Macaroni pasta with cold water. Set aside to cool.

    3. Prepare the salad mix. Start from draining the syrup totally from the canned Fruit cocktail.

    4. In a mixing bowl, bring all the ingredients - Fruit cocktail, All-purpose cream, Condensed milk, Mayonnaise, and the cooked Macaroni pasta. Gently mix until all the ingredients are well distributed.

    5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for atleast 2 hours, or better if overnight.

And that's it friends! Simple, right? Well I hope this blog somehow helps you. Let's enjoy cookin'!

See you in my next post. Thank you for your time and support. Til next time!
