第二课。 不是我的菜。
第二课
Do you think studying Chinese is hard? Yes, it is hard but it's easy with @talk.chinese. Because I teach in a fun way hard things such as fixed expressions. Today we learn the expression that is similar in Chinese and English but with slight differences. Fixed expressions are tricky because they can be used with their literal meaning as well as a fixed expression.
For example, you may say : " This is not my dish" - 不是我的菜 . This expression means similar to English " You are not my cup of Tea". That means you are not my type.
不可能 - it's impossible
川菜 - sichuan dish
做菜 - to do dish, to cook
一道菜 - a course of meal
Use this phrase to say that it's not my type of something. I love to use this phrase when you want to politely refuse something or to express your disagreement. The character 菜- means dish, or meal.
