DEPAY'S FIRST ASSIST for CORINTHIANS // The World of Sports // LetsGoCoringation

Greetings, Coringation travelers!

Last Tuesday, September the 24th of 2024, the Corinthians' Men's Football Team won the second leg game of the quarter finals dispute of Conmebol Sudamericana against Fortaleza by 3x0 in Neo Química Arena. But part of the show was stolen by Memphis Depay, who entered in his second match and gave his first assist for Corinthians!

The first half was really not that great, with neither team really attacking that much. But in the second half, Yuri Alberto found a masterful pass to Romero, who dribbled really well and shot into the back of the net. 1x0

It was the same duo that constructed the next play, after a great long ball by Breno Bidon, that the ball ended up in Igor Coronado's feet to score. 2x0

It was clores to the end of the game that Rodrigo Garro, Memphis Depay and Pedro Henrique entered the game. The first one made a marvelous high pass to the second, who took control of the ball in the ground already dribbling it from one foot to the other, completely disconnecting the defender from the play, and assisting beautifully Pedeo Henrique, who later affirmed that "half the goal was Memphis'". In my opinion, it was maybe more than that!

And with that, Corinthians are now in the semi finals of the Copa Sudamericana, by winning in a total aggregate score of 5x0, and faces of against the argentinian club Racing. Vamos Corinthians

Also, on Wednesday the 25th, the Brabas who recently won their fifth Brasileirão title in a row, won by 5x0 against Marília for the Paulistão.
