Exode Game - Introduction to the Navy Lieutenant

Hi everyone,

After my successful review of the the Scientific Ark Starter Kit (link to my previous post), it is now the time to present you the Navy Lieutenant.

Each Starter Kit has 14 cards: an origin card that will give you the right to evacuate the planet and will dictate the rules of your game, a ship, three officers, seven crew members, and two equipment slots.

There are voices that the Space Force (known in 2325 as The Navy) knew about what is to come, but kept it secret for many year. What is for sure is that The Navy was well prepared for the invasion.

They had the best ships in the world, well armed and equipped with well trained people.

No wonder that their focused was on an early evacuation, giving them the best chances to survive...

The Navy Lieutenant is in charge with the evacuation on a Military Frigate ("Archeon" Class), with clear orders: bring onboard the seven crew members, load the two standard equipment sets and the six cargo units, and bring no more than six passengers.

The ship is well armed with missiles and side turrets for close combat, high tech communications and long range radars. They will stay long enough under intense fire, giving them the time to bring onboard everything that was requested.

The Navy Officers - The frigate comes with a standard crew: a communication officer (which can be of great use on any kind of Origin deck), a weapons officer, and a tactical officer.

They are all battle tested, and will never ignore their orders!

Crew - as said before, the ship has all the finest tech, and therefore a specialised crew to operate all these goodies: a military pilot, a signals specialist well trained to operate the high tech radar and comms, and a military engineer ready to deploy the latest upgrades on the hyperdrive engine or shields.

In addition, the crew is composed of a fast reaction team, with a defence specialist in lead, and three well trained troopers. They will be responsible to secure the ship while docked to the space station and to fight back any boarding attempts.

Equipment - What the military guys will always have with them? Their personal weapons and armored suits...

Again, clearly visible that the focus of The Navy is on surviving the Evacuation and fighting back the invaders, with the drawback of not being so much prepared for the harsh conditions of living in space for a long time.

Conclusions - the Navy Lieutenant Starter Kit is probably the best option for the early days of the game. The game will only start with the Evacuation scene, where the Navy starter kit will give you an clear advantage. Of course, all depends on the content of the Boosters and how much possibilities you have to invest in cards...

Hope to see as many people inside the game!

The game offers an referral program, giving both the referral and the referee two free booster packs, and an Elite card when ten referrals are reached. Use with my referral code 0db8650 (referral link), and join now for a guaranteed Elite card as my account already reached the required number of referrals!

whats your overall opinion of the game? I havnt got round to trying it....

There's a lot of focus on the game itself, which looks to be quite complex... nothing like we had before on steem/hive blockchain. The developer is highly involved, and communicates a lot on Discord. The focus on cards looks secondary at the moment, but this might not necessary be a bad thing. Critical will be to find the right equilibrium in the economy of the game... This we don't know at the moment, and not many games managed to find it (the only exception might be Splinterlands)...

hey thanks for getting back! Its a really interesting project that I'll definitely be keeping an eye on. Im not online much anymore so I probably wont be comitting to any gameplay (its as much as I can do to keep my splinterlands guild happy! hehe)
